Wow. I was not getting email notifications on thread updates and it kind of slipped my mind with my busy schedule. Just had about 8-10 pages to catch up on. Things are really coming together well. And the backyard is simply amazing!

There were a few things happening Wednesday. The interior painting of the garage started, as did the reinstallation of the baseboards on the hardwood floors. The carpet installers didn’t show up until late in the day, but expected to finish before they quit for the night. Out back, more Iron Mountain stone was getting sized up and ready to be laid down in front of the grill. And the big news… we saw water flowing in the waterfall for the first time! Pictures are nice… but video is better. See link below.

This should be pretty cool when it’s all done.

It will look even better once all the landscaping goes in around it.

This was a slow day… visually anyway. While the baseboards were being reinstalled, caulked and painted, I spent some time applying stain to the 1/4-round base shoe that will go on the wood floor at the cabinets. I had to work carefully to match the cabinet stain color as best I could. The painting in the garage was finished, and the masons laid and cut the stone for the floor in front of the BBQ. I also have been meeting with vendors regarding epoxy coating for the garage floor, and Donna selected a company to fabricate and install the window blinds.

All they need to do for the floor is grout the joints now.

How long after your family moves in does the S197 family get to move in? LOL. Been following this build for awhile man looks great. My dad did some cool waterfalls around our house they are fun to watch.. really fun to make yourself too. We have one made of River Rocks and one that he made for my mom that is made completely of Rose Quartz (Pink Quartz Crystals) really pretty the river one actually flows down into a 20 foot river and into a 5X5 pond.. judging from yours you would appreciate it I have to send you some pics some time.
