I like them and the price is great. Yes they do look like the Greg Welds, probably using the same foundry he was.

I'll be running the 15x10's on the rear both street and strip. I'll buy 4 of them, one with dr's and one with street tires, and probably some 15x7's for the front for daily use and also at the track.

It says not streetable..but Weld says that on their's as well....

It's one of those things where you'll see people get them and try them out, but they do look strong....

There are only certain sizes that say they are not intended for street use. The rest of them are intended for both street and strip. The 15x10's are both street and strip. I'll be running them year round.

Fuck it. I'm going with the 17's I think.

Yeah...."Running 9.70's on a 17" drag radial at 3800 lbs....so easy even a caveman can do it."

One of the two Mikes was the lead engineer at Greg Weld that I was talking to forever about 15x10 7.5BS for S197's if I am not mistaken. I'm going to pick up a set of 15x10 7.5BS for mine as soon as these are available. Tired of my XP's throwing rubber all over the car and sticking out like a skateboard!!!

You're giving those guys way too much credit.

Not even... I don't think super highly of them but I don't think low of them to me they are just...iunno there. If a guy wants a 10 second race car with no down time with the build process then it's great if you can afford it and want the car :beerdrink: They have great parts in them so they can take a thrashing and they are stick :thumb:

I kinda miss having a stick. Then again....my last "stick" car was a clutchless Jerico. Might build another one sometime soon. They're fun. The No/Electronics class at HRP is full of automatics. None of them were around when I was running the Fairmont with the Jerico so it would be great to piss this new batch off with a stick car again.

Figures they would come out with a nice affordable 15 inch wheel days after I ordered rear Bogart's. I could have gotten all four wheels and a couple tires for the price of the Welded R/T's.

Well the 15x8 5.5 BS Greg Welds I bought before they stopped production did not fit. Neither did a set of 15x10 6.5 BS wheels so don't get your hopes up too much quite yet. I'm ready to try a set but I'll have a return label ready and waiting just in case.

I just got off the phone with Race Star Industries. They have a direct bolt on 15" street/strip rim available for our s197 Mustangs. Some of the sizes are available now and the 15x10's will be available the second or third week in October. These are one peice cast aluminum rims, the fronts weigh 10lbs. and the rears weigh 13lbs. This is for real and about time someone came through for us Mustang owners. They are very reasonable priced also. You do not need longer studs for the rears neither, these fit the stock studs.

Here is a link to their website.

Feel free to call them, they will put you on their list and call you when the rim size you want comes in, I am already on the list. They were very helpful with me and actually called me back right away too.
those look sick...if they come through all sell my jegz prostars quick!
