This is my C&L Dyno thread. I picked up a pick of 7 RWHP over the delete plates and at 5700 rpms I picked up 10 rwhp. NO LOSS in low rpms horsepower. I lost 2 peak torque but picked up torque from 2000-3300 rpms.

In my opionon is it worth it? I would say yea. If you want to stay N/A and you want every last bit of horsepower then this is dyno proved hp to the wheels.

I got my intake and I wasn't going to dyno it but everyone on here changed my mind for me. LOL So I got it dynoed. I love the added torque down low. As far as driving it around and I love how it pulls harder after 5000 rpms than it did before.

I just can't see me adding 40 lbs for the C&L no way...... Once ford racing starts putting my intake on the shelf they will sell a ton.. for what they gain and they even freakin loose weight. That and the ford racing intake is composite and wont heat up like the C&L mani...

I know I know the ford racing one isn't out yet but there is no rush when you are waiting for a good part. Plus winter is here so lol

When I picked up that 9hp over the delete plates it was with no cams no heads... When I do my full all motor builds this intake is going to do wonders for me

That version on your car look amazing BTW!!!!!! As for the intake you had though, it isnt a production version. We wont really know what it is until it released. Im not arguing, Im just beeing honest. As for product, I would feel a lot more safer spraying the c and L than I would the FRPP. Thier both great products, and unfortunatley this is lik,e a whipple verses saleen blower type thing lolol

Thanks :p, They are not changing anything for the production pieces... But yea it is a endless argument. Soon it will be liek the 5.0 intake debates xD

if they aren't changing anything, why do we have to wait til march?
Is this the intake that will be on the 2011 cars or something?

Im very interesrted to thier finished product!!!!

as for the C and L im very happy with it, and the MPH we picked up at the track was awesome. We are currently installing one on a turbo car and in the next few weeks a procharged car. Im exited to see and show the results.

And when the FRPP versions is released I will be equaly excited to do the same. Im all about making these cars faster!!!!!! N/A and supercharged

My name is Tom and I own Hurricane Performance.

You did not make me mad at all, I totally understand where you are coming from. However I have one on my shop car in the pics to my link in my earlier post!!!. I agree the extra weight is not the best, however we made more than 10 rwhp, and Ill go as far as saying we made more than 15.. Like I said my hands are tied and I cant say what we made until the magazin is release.

As for the FRPP peice, until it is released, I have no opinion on it. I dought it will look like the ones weve seen, but I could be wrong.... Seeing is believing.

But as far as me beeing mad, Im not, Im just participating in the conversation. I know you guys will truly be impressed when all the info is released and you guys will be able to make a judgement call on that.

Cool....and I clicked on your link a while ago are you guys still doing maintenance? I wanted to check you out...no homo.

I should have a production unit in hand early next week (after working with C&L on two preproduction units), and hope to test this the following weekend. The weight is a slight problem, but I'm offsetting that with tubular a-arms that go on at the same time. I'm not sure I will have the time to get this on a dyno and perfect the tune, but at the very least a wideband will be used so a/f can be monitored/adjusted.

Here's a shot of the last preprod unit:

Intake comment

Well, Hurricane is doing a little something for my turbo car (now with a fully built block, stage 3 heads and turbo cams), should be interesting eh?

We have the C and L on our shop car. One of the first final production runs. Here are some pics http://hurricaneperformance.com/hp_gallery.html Now I cant release the HP numbers as the results wil be in Muscle mustangs and fast ford next month, but what we saw was amazing, and I will hint by saying it was a lot more than 10 hp!!!!. Now keep in mind this car is highly modified.

We should also have numbers for a car we are doing with a prochergers later this month. We anticipate great numbers from that combo as well

N/A or FI?

Hey Matt, does the FRPP intake not need delete plates?

ill answer for him...both the CandL and the FRPP delete the plates with the manifold...there is no need for delete plates if you buy these intakes because they already have the butterflies deleted..

Stage 3 car

Mine is a stage three car, heads, blower cams and a built motor with all the supporting goodies so it should be very nice. I know of some "testing" on a turbo car but it was a stage 2 car. I am excited to see the results.
