holy crap hope i didn't do that! from the sound when i turn the key i wouldn't be surprised.

mine was actually grabbing then and working occasionally then it just stopped all together... If you can pop start your car and still go then I would say thats your problem.. all that ring is used for is the starter... To get that sexy motor of yours rolling over...

:funnypost:

Ummmmmmmmmm, I would call that more like "operator error". Don't blame your drunk ass malfunction on the car.

Sucks to be you, good luck with the wife.

I find it hard to believe the clutch would go out at 9000 miles, even after a burnout. I have almost 65,000 miles on the car and I still have the stock clutch. I don't baby the car that much, it has been down the track about 40 times.

This is 2010, if you have 36 month/ 36k mile warranty just take it to the stealership and have them fix it........no big deal

the clutch is a wear item just like brake pads so the 36/36 warranty will not cover it. Besides as soon as they examine it they will see it has been abused.

I was under the impression that the gear around his flywheel came loose not his clutch was bad. We may need to reread

Most likely the clutch was slipped during his burnout overheating the flywheel. When the flywheel and ring gear cooled down the ring gear did not shrink back to it's original dimension causing the ring gear to come loose on the flywheel.

This will be very obvious when the clutch is removed as the disc will be damaged and the flywheel will have heat spots and cracks.

all that adds up to abuse = not a warrant able repair.

Well if he was pushing hard enough on the brake to cause this then the tires wouldn't have been spinning? And his speedo would have been @ 0 during the burnout?
