Im looking for some info on what would be some good options for upgraded ignition. Do people stick with the stock coils or swap out for the msd coils? Anyone running a boost-a-spark? If so whats your thoughts on it? I rememer reading something about what CK posted about upgrading to thicker gauge wiring for the coils. How did that work out for you?

any info would be great

We've had good luck on the basic set up cars with the MSD coil packs. We've done the upgrading of the wires also but didn't see anything out of it. The ultimate upgrade is the MSD packs w/ Dual DIS boxes but that gets up there. We only recommend that for higher HP cars and race fuel cars. We keep the MSD's in stock also for future reference.

You guys know anything about the 8 channel MSD box that was "supposed" to be released a few years back?

the aftermarket coil packs seem to have a pretty high failure rate, even right out of the box. and not just the MSD ones, but the GMS ones as well. I think unless your building a 1000hp car, the stockers are pretty damn good.
