Well , got to the track early to make a run to make sure my tune and set up was good for 10.0s

1st hit right off the trailer:

60ft .............. 1.402
330 ............. 4.090
1/8th ............ 6.384
MPH ............ 107.64
1000 ............ 8.356
1/4 .............. 10.029
MPH ............. 133.15

So I guess I was ready for the 3 passes in True Street , parked the car and waited for the cruise.

The cool thing about all of this was that all my racing buddies from Miami were all racing in that class and during the 3 runs the 10.0 class was going back and forth between two of my buddies from Miami and Myself .

My 1st pass was :

60ft .............. 1.416
330 .............. 4.113
1/8th ............ 6.416
MPH ............. 107.24
1000 ............. 8.395
1/4 .............. 10.067
MPH ............. 134.89

2nd pass was :

60ft ................ 1.418
330 ................ 4.102
1/8th ............. 6.384
MPH .............. 107.95
1000 .............. 8.352
1/4 ................ 10.022
MPH ............... 133.33

3rd pass was :

60ft ............... 1.418
330 ................ 4.096
1/8th ............. 6.373
MPH ............... 108.16
1000 .............. 8.339
1/4 ............... 10.003
MPH .............. 135.44

NMRA Jeff said it was the closest 10.0 class ever that the winner ended up with a 10.000 average .
Here's the messed up part.
My Buddy Orestes ended up with a 10.07 average my buddy Alex ended up with a 9.9996 average , so they gave him the Plaque and 100.00 and MMFF took his picture . I was happy for him b/c we are actual friends who really go racing together and live close in Miami .
He seemed surprised b/c he said he didn't think they were going to round off to 10.000
Anyway I didn't make a fuss but when we went to the trailer to check on how they average out the times my Friend Willie of MAK Performance asked why do they round off 9.999 is still a 9 sec pass . Thats when they realized they made the mistake and told us that the computer basically rounded off and placed Alex in 1st and me in second.
NMRA officials got together and realized they screwed up and gave me 100.00 said I was the 10.0 Winner with a 10.030 Average and are going to send me a new plaque. They also need to correct it on there web site and let MMFF know the foul up to make sure they print the correct standings.
WOW what a mess , I was happy with the fact I made the 16 for tomorrows Shoot Out , and how well the car ran , PERSONAL Best 60ft 1.402 , and a 9.98 , Im in cloud 9 as they say . Great weekend for Me.
Now tomorrow Im going to turn the boost up and maybe spray it . Hehehehehe:naughty1:

Damn, you should just leave it alone and bracket race! Very consistent. So what boost and size shot were you using on those 3 passes?

Ok, turn up the boost and spray it tomorrow! I want to see a 9.7X!

NO NITROUS ! Those passes were all boost only , I only sprayed the car yesterday will T&T to see what it would run but it was pulling timing b/c of the tune. Once I got that figured out the car went a 10.029 on 22.8 psi's
Leaving the line on 10 psi's with the 2 step set at 4100.
Tomorrow during the Spring Break Shootout I will hit it with a 75 shot after shifting into 2nd .

Yeup that was screwed up , It sucks too b/c ALEX is a buddy of mine so its a weird feeling to see him happy that He won ,and they gave him a Plaque and 100 bucks for the class win , and now they will post up and let the magazine know that I was the class winner and that they made a mistake .
Alex did go a 9.27 at 147.00 during test and tune on Friday. He hurt the motor and decided to dial the car down to a 10.0s. His Cobra is very impressive runs very hard and is as quite as my car is .

Wow I didn't know it was that many .

You know the coolest compliment I got was from Steve of MMFF .
He said that he loved how quite my car was , and that I actually went a 9.98 with my 20" street wheels up front.

good for your friend, but to be honest, if you won, you won, i'd expect the money and plaque and recognition.

that would be like bracket racing and you and a buddy are both dialed in at a 10.0

and he runs a 9.99 and you run even an 11.50

guess what, you win, he broke out!

Right is Right bottom line , last time I checked a time slip reads out xx.xxx

If you add up the three passes and divide by three why would you round off the forth digit after the decimal .

http://www.nmradigital.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=97454

10.047 , 10.098, 9.854 = 29.999 divided by 3 = 9.9996666, so can someone explain to me If all time slips read 3 units past the decimal point then why would the 4th number have to round off the time slip ?

When someone goes to the track and lets say you run a 11.99 do you tell everyone you ran
a 12.00 pass ?
