Well, after all my winter mods it was time to take the '07 GT back to the track. It was a frustrating night to say the least. At 294rwhp my best pass (in mineshaft cold air) was a 13.31@102ish with a 2.05ish 60ft. My new best, with 350rwhp, is a 13.12@109 with a 2.099 60ft. The track was hooking pretty decent I just couldn't get my launch down on my street tires. Temps last night were in the mid-50s; pretty decent night for racing. Current mods are in my sig. Race weight was 3650 with me in it and 3/4 tank of gas.

I got a set of 3.90 gears for my birthday that I need to install. Also looking into drag radials for my next outing. I'll probably do a set of lower control arms while I'm at it.

The car had a 12.xxx in it. It was me that failed on this night. Not the car. Oh well. Just another reason to go again, right!?

109mph is good for 12.5x, just keep trying and I'm sure you'll get there. If you haven't done so yet, invest in some racestars with MT ETs or some of those new goodyear drag radials.

some sticky tires and LCAs and Driver Mod will deff help you. Especially your 60ft.
Bryan's a good driver...he just doesnt have the hook (as he stated)...his main hold back is a good tire.
once he gets those control arms and some sticky rubber i have no doubt he'll see some mid 12s. like jroc said the mph is there he just needs the ET...kind of glad i didnt go last night because theres no joy in posting about 14 sec timeslips :argh:

your car will do a lot better with control arms and sticky tires. and i'm going to say to skip the drag radials and go straight to et streets. i've found them to be much easier to launch with. i'm probably only putting down aroudn 330rwhp or so (hasn't been on the dyno after the latest mods). i turned the times in my signature a couple of weeks ago. i know the car has 12.30's or 12.20's if i turn up the launchmaster a little further:)

i would go with a different gear also....you'll be happier with at least a 4.10. i've had 4.10, 4.33, and now 4.56's. i still drive on the highway with this set up with the 295/45/18 rear tires also and gets 22mph on the road

Yeah his MPH is there, jsut need the tires. The LCAs will help alot also with traction. And go with a ET Street instead of a radial. People say to have better luck with them then the Drag Radial.

Next mod... absolutely tires. Before the gears even. Without traction the gears are useless.

ET Street is also a radial. And take a look at the ET ranking list... there are some quick frikkin cars on DRs.

Yes correct, i run the DRs on my car. I seen locals at atco who use to run on DRs and now have a full slick, so i figured they liked a full slick over a DR.

MT DRs are really nice. All i use.

I also switched from DRs to slicks a few years ago. There were three reasons for me: (1) lighter weight, (2) more consistent traction, and (3) a helluva lot cheaper (on a per run basis).
