The arches were one of the things I liked in the original build pics you posted a while back. Excellent design.

Don your house makes me want to drive a bulldozer through mine! You guys did a hell of a nice job all around, from design to the finished product.

Wow. Just read all 73 pages; what an ordeal, what a build! Sorry that you had to endure that disaster, looks like everything turned out quite well in the end. LOVE that fire pit.

Really puts the work I'm doing at my own place right now into perspective.

Heck, I didn't even know there was a home-improvement subforum! :)

Thanks, SD. Donna and I both like all the arches, too. The curved walls and arches break up the typical right angle look of walls and doorways. It may not appeal to everyone, but it suits our tastes perfectly.

Thanks, Dave! My theory all along was that I was only going to get one shot at this, and I wanted to do it right (within time and budget constraints of course). I would be really pissed if I was sitting here today with a bunch of regrets.

LOL... you really read the whole thread at one sitting? haha. And we get a lot of use from that firepit. It is very mesmerizing to sit there at night staring at the flames dancing off the glass and hearing the waterfall at the same time.

Why do I suddenly have the urge to go to Lowe's?

Well I "read" the whole thing--aka scroll and check out all the pics and your captions. Was pretty surprised by the swimsuit like halfway through, haha

Well, we're halfway there. My Mustang is back in the garage at least. But the lift is not on the horizon.

Here's your car Don, took these last night.

There's a lot of room around the car.
