...wonder if I can "find" a spare jet engine around here someplace...

You can borrow one from my daily driver. Just make sure you put it back in the morning.

Words cant say enough about how nice a picture that supercharger is.

Well I got all the fab work finished, and sat the blower on last night with a drive and 3.375 pulley. The stock hood cleared with almost an inch of clearance. We are actually installing the blower on the car now,so it should run tonight. Ill post up some more pictures in a few.

Hey Ken.....Head up for a C-NOTE!!!!!! and NO CHEEAATTING AGAIN!!!
Ok just let me get at least a few shakedown passes done then I'm gonna give you an ass whoopin:kinky:

Well shes running!!!! Here are a few more pics. We drove the car last night but didnt really get on it. With a 3.375 pulley up top and a stock 6.5 lower it hit 20lb at the touch of the throttle. Its strapped to the dynp right now,so Ill have some numbers in a while.
Pictures are:
finished discharge plate mounted to manifold
shot of by pass valve routing
blower completely installed
blended discharge plate
pcm reloacted
bottom of 3.4l with case milled to open up plenum area

Wow is all I can say. I won't mention any numbers but I will say that Adam made 5 back to back dyno pulls and put his hand right on the blower and it was still COLD!! Un-freakin' believable. One pull in my car and my KB will burn your hand. So far that is hands down the most impressive thing to me as this is going to make one dead consistent car!:allhail:

re numbers

Well I made the pulls on the car Friday, and because of this being custom, I had to get basic pullies from Whipple, and then machine the right depth. We had one setup that made 18.5 and 21 lbs boost, and it made over 700 rwhp at 21lbs . The IATs are impressivly low. Im still working on this, and it WILL be at Irwindale this week regardless of our progress. From what I can see, 800+ rwhp isnt going to be a problem, but with the changes Im making right now to the lower manifold,we may see 850-875 rwhp.We are defenitley going to test Larry's tranny job. I test drove the car at 707hp and 640 tq and it was stupid!!! I tried to roll in the throttle, ease in the throttle, and nail it at 80mph. All proved to be useless on Kens 20's. Ill get a dyno sheet for Ken to post tomorrow. We plan to turn this up to 25lbs for this Thursday, it will be fun to watch Ken get booted off the track.

track time

We usually get there around 4-4:30pm. We will have Kens cr and my car there. Im shooting for a 6.0x pass this Thurs. Good luck Ken,I know who tunes your car:oops: If Ken hooks,he should run at least a 6.30. Kens car weighs in at a hefty 3960lbs,before Ken sits in it.Then its like 4500lbs.:samuri:

just wondering, from what i have saw and tested on the very first 3.4 whipples for the 4V motors, that it was useless to run less then 26# of boost because the 3.4 took so much power to turn it so we went to 32# which was basically max rpm for the blower which the car made 798hp through a c4 with a 4000 stall and the car went 9.68 (6.0 in the eight) and our kb combo went 9.52 at 22# at only 623 have you cranked up the boost that high yet? im just trying to see witch blower to go with when i get s197 here in a few months.

I assume you mean next Thursday since this Thursday is Thanksgiving. That'll be quite a debut for Ken's car; not to mention if you break into 6.0x's.

Ok next thursday that gives me like 2weeks to drop like 100lbs to match Adam's fighting weight of all of 105lbs. Dam I just remembered this thursday is Thanksgiving so much for the diet. Adam you will just have to make more power with my car so I can get down the track.
