I had one. It lives up to the 60% lol. I decided I liked my Hurst better and went back with it. It just get a little hard to shift from 2 to 3 with such little movement, otherwise it's a god quality piece

Want an honest opinion? They are both junk. The Hurst looks pretty much exactly like the stock shifter. The Stillen looks like someone made a stock shifter that you can take apart. If that is all you want, then save yourself some money and find one of the Saleen short throw adapters somewhere. Otherwise... get a REAL shifter. Get a Pro 5.0 or a Steeda Tri-Ax

Eh? lol

Not trying to start anything, but it looks nothing like a stock piece, it sits higher, and uses totally different materials, and a totally different knob, you can't reuse the OEM knob, and it is MUCH shorter of a throw.

Just sayin.

When it really comes down to it go with what you can afford, they are really all there to serve the same purpose. You had mentioned that you tried the Hurst, and liked it, so ya know.

I have a Hurst in mine and its a world away from stock. I unfortunatly am a victim of the hurst rattle. Im working on getting that resolved and thats my only gripe about my hurst. I know a lot of people have this problem and just as many dont so make sure you know that you could have to deal with this problem too. For me its a higher RPM thing. When I get up into the 4500 or so range the rattle starts.
Good luck with your search though.

Yea, because the handle and the knob really make a performance difference.... I am talking about the actual construction of the shifter. I couldn't care less about the bling factor. Bling won't shift your damn transmission.

Now you want to try to convince me that they aren't basically the same shifter? I've driven a car with a Hurst shifter and driven a car with a stock shifter with the Saleen short throw block on it. Trust me... your beloved Hurst shifter is basically a stock shifter.

THIS is a real shifter

MGW is on backorder, unfortunately. I ordered one this past Saturday and they said it might ship out the end of next week.

Another vote for MGW.

I've got nothing against the MGW either. At least it is a real shifter. Can't say that for the Hurst stock clone.

No doubt. I fooled around with the Hurst on a Ford showroom and was not impressed. Its like they sat down and said, we want to try to mock the steeda triax, but lets make it cost much less and skimp on quality.

I *HEARD* the dude assembles them by hand once he gets your order in. Once you get your box in the mail, you will understand the assumption on 1 person putting the thing together and boxing it up and sending it to you.

want a good shifter? stick with the stock one. All are crap. NVH/ notchy/ etc

stock is smooth, quiet and works well.

had both and they are the two best IMO...
