You can get a base GT for around $28k. You can also option it up over $40K. Just depends on what you feel like you have to have.

Drive to a dealer in Michigan and pick one up. I really wanted to get one and was looking online at the price difference from US to Canada. I decided I wanted to build a race car more than buying a new 2011 street car.

I was at Canadian customs last year and 3 guys pulled in with brand new 2010 mustangs. They had dealer plates from Ohio. They didn't have to pay the Ohio state tax because they were exporting them. Still have to pay PST & GST (now the HST tax that we have). But they said by not having to pay the ohio state tax and paying all the other fees to get it into Canada, they saved over $7,000.00. These cars were GT's, but I don't know what options they had.

The PERCENTAGE increase would be the same in US or Canada.

It was humor you twit.

Meant to start a smile when us Canadians read it due to how we get screwed on the pricing north of the border.

It was to start a smile because we save our laughs for your economic policies or political ones, but in this case I'll just laugh at your stupidity.

Good effort sport. Your Canadian/USD may have been a joke but the price increase comment was clearly a separate "thought".

I would make some sort of witty sarcastic remark about your healthcare but the timing would be questionable at best :beerdrink:

Jr - sorry for making a sloppy mess of your thread with this moron. I look forward to some test results.

The price is too high and as far as the timing of the healthcare quip?

That made me laugh out loud.

Hahaha no these are just top quality, made in the USA parts. This system is priced competitively to what is out there on the market so far.

Listen, I'm all for that, but I've seen Vette headers for far less and Fbody headers for between $300-$600. Even Kooks own header systems for other cars are less. Unless there is some radical new technology in building these things (like free virgins with purchase), I can't understand why headers are this expensive. Guess I'll wait a couple years for them to come down.

The Vette headers that are a little over $1000 don't include a mid pipe, add it and you're around $1600. LS3 kits are a little over $1400. JDM's price of $1450 is about right. Pricey nontheless, but right.

Your 100% correct...

If you look at any Header and midpipe combo from Kooks or ARH its around $1500 give or take for a Complete system. The headers are around $800-1000 then the midpipe is another 400-600+....There is nothing wrong with paying this much for quality and a product that works. There are so many benifits to having longtube headers for performance and longevity of your engine. Your reducing cylinder pressure, releasing an extreme amount of heat from the motor, and lowering restriction. The design of the headers, the bends and length of the tubes is where your making power. Alot of companys slap some tubes together and put a "longtube" header out there on the market that fits like shit, was made in china, and costs half as much as a quality system such as Kooks or ARH and then it wont make as much power or torque because of the lack of design and knowledge in building a real performance header. They are out there so if thats what you want then hey.... But personally I would only put one of these two companys exhaust on my car, especially since besides all that they are made in the USA!
