393 was stock exhaust manifolds, cats, 3" cat back, JLT CAI and tune
415 was all above with added ARH headers and ARH cats.

Hope that helps

That does help. So the gains could be shared between the headers and the X pipe, correct?

The car did have an X with the cat back (forgot to mention), so only changes were high flow cats and headers

Sounds good tucker! We have 6 or 7 sets of headers in stock ready to go. Just give me a ring. KENT

Curious....has anyone compared an off-road x-pipe or high flow catted x-pipe with stock headers to a full long tube setup?

My guess is there wouldn't be a whole lot of difference.

Your not going to gain 25 RWHP from no cats or high flow cats, 10 maybe.

I wanna say Lethal got 15-18 RWHP from their off-road pipe which would put the ARH gains only 7-10 above that. $299 vs. $1,500.

My instinct seems to wanna save the $1,200 and invest in another area like head porting, drive line, etc....

Nice Gains....the dynomax systems are pretty damn loud. I ran a 3" catback for sometime and it was a little too much for me.

correct 14-16 is what I have seen down at the shop ...also to note a bassani race axle back piced up 2-3 hp also ....skip the headers and use them for F/I only ...just my $.02

damn man, you got me thinking about that. If headers are only 7-10 over the Lethal off road X and you save about 1200 dollars that is way too much. If is no other benefits from header over x off road then i will forget that... Mybe get them later for the looks only i guess.

How much difference would there be in RWHP if u used a off-road x-pipe with the long tubes vs. the x-pipe with high flow cats? Results should be more RWHP.

Dont compare peak horsepower, but under the curve where you really drive the car.

Headers

I have heard reports from a reliable source that power was lost with a header swap and went back to the OE?? It will be interesting what other shops get? To be fair, I don't know who's header it was!

Im willing to bet you gain 3-5hp without the cats.. but you might drop 5+ft/lb of torque as well.

exactly, an I am willing to bet that a car with longtubes vs a car with only an o/r x will show great gains throughout the 3000-6000rpm range. might only get 7-10hp peak to peak gains at 6500ish, but the longtubes will fill out the entire power band and the car will accelerate harder.

Pure speculation ATM. Until there is a back to back test on the same car, same dyno, same conditions it is all heresy. I personally know an individual who has run 11's with stock shorties and an off-road Magnaflow x-pipe. That was in 2500' DA.

I'm curious to see the diff in numbers for a catted longtube car vs stock manifolds with highflow cats like my set up.I have'nt dynoed my car but I can tell you it runs really strong with the combo I have.

If I was going to race my car I would probably opt for the longtubes,
but for mostly street I doubt I will see much difference from a car with the same exhaust with the only difference being the longtubes.

I think for this car you will see gains from replacing the stock exhaust with a good 3" catback, highflow cats and X-pipe that are atleast equal to longtubes. If I planned on doing more then CAI/tune I would get the longtubes for sure.
