Might be a strange question but does upgrading the ds offer the same benefits for an auto as with a manual trans?

I experienced a noticeable difference with my AT. I went with the Coast 700hp, 4 inch, and have no regrets. It bolted right in, no issues. Of course the BMR safety loop on a lowered car with a 4 inch DS takes some finese.
