Grabber orange will always be my favorite. Calypso Coral is almost a Comp orange. It tends to look more red in pictures, but in person it's pretty dark orange.
x2 to all this

showza....not as easy as y'all think, eh?
nice info steve. got any more pics? your build looks nice bro.
The Cost / Benefit of trying to transplant a new 5.0 4V into a 05-09 Mustang for the street (not a dedicated race car) just doesn't make sense to me given the available 3V options.

Take it from someone who is doing it right now that trying to convert one into a street mustang is going to be a pita. There are more things that you guys are not even thinking about .
If you plan on running power steering you can forget about ac . your going to have to make custom heater box lines as well because they are not even close. Unless you don't care about heat or a defroster ?
Your going to have to add about 4" to your mid pipes to get it to mate up with the h/x pipe plus convert it from 2.5 to 2.75.
How do you plan to tap into you main body harness? That main body harness has a few things that are controlled from the 4.6 pcm amd engine harness that you no longer have because you need the ford racing harness and computer and that computer has nothing in it for activiating fuel pump modules and such.
Plan to spend about another $400 in pcv hoses and radiator hoses as well as they are totally different up front and don't come in your crate motor.
Your going to need to fabricate a power steering bracket and relocating all the power steering lines and resivor as well.
fuel system, plan to spend about $700 or so for an fittings, lines and a decent regulator.
and a few other things as well.
wait on a wrecked one ? you will be waiting for a while . If you can find them they are bringing big dollars. I've seen two sell. one for 14,500 and the other went for 16,500. so ? I know of a auto that is hurt and he wants 17k for it.
couple pics 5.0 in a 05/09 body That I'm building and this is a race car build so we could care less about certain electronics not working and a heater box.

Aluminum?Soooo.....since it's not as easy as you guys think......can I interest anyone in an aluminum big bore?![]()

Depends what your definition of "street car" is?....
If you want to have a faster car, but want the luxury of a/c, heat, defrost, and less hassle, no it wouldn't be a good swap....
However, if you are crazy like Matt and I, then you don't care....roll the windows down, make some heater box hoses, heater hoses, throw in a full aftermarket fuel system setup, and let it fly!!!

It seems like the thought is that the 5.0 would be a viable replacement motor for the 4.6 3V but from what has just been said that is not the case.

I was going fuel cell anyways playa
I will make the heater stuff work if I do keep all that in. The 5.0 is just worth it for moi
It does suck it wasn't as easy as most of us thought. Dam you Ford
Should be able to sell my 3 valve motor then lol...
Aluminum?
My ears are perking up just like my dog's do when a "car ride" is mentioned.

Good to know, Thanks for the heads up.
The thing im not looking forward to is harness. Do you know off the top of your head what will be left out?
the other thing your going to need is gauges for everything as your cluster is worthless and most your warning lights will be on . all that info comes from your pcm
we run a mychron unit and the ford racing harness has a port on it so you can tap the can cport and get real time ino .
Are you serious? Why would Ford bring out a motor and not consider its backward compatibility. Are they planning on making the 3V forever?
