I found out what my cost will be today and it makes it VERRRY tempting. What would I need to make the motor run (Other than power steering)? Same computer? Can it just be tuned or a complete change? All the plugs the same?

a 2011???

I imagine that the new PCM is CAN based and should work with the other CAN based devices of the network but I would really recommend to see what other people do before starting to buy stuff.

Trans, trans mount, driveshaft, engine, pcm, wiring harness, clutch...

$15K +, just trade it and buy the car is gonna be the easiest/cheapest way.

Even when someone comes out with all the necessary stuff to make a swap work its still gonna be costly.

But if you trade, you get the new body style. I know some hate it and would love the new engine but with the old body style. If that's the case then go for the swap. There's someone on another board planing on putting the new 5.0 in a fox.

How much more difficult would it be going full TILT on a 5.4L vs. a 5.0L? Not trying to derail the thread, but is this even an option from a monetary standpoint since we're talking swaps anyway?

old body style (hottest!) with new 5.0 would be sweet.

I think you make a good point as far as engine swaps go.

It does say you need to purchase a PCM and alternator.
The 5.0's bell definitely bolts up to our trans FYI.
What about the electric steering??
