When they run that damn close to 11s they are!! Nicely done.

Thanks,

@Rygen, there were a total of 10 12.1 passes, 5 on streets and 5 on DRs, just didn't matter. I guess those Kumho streets are just that good.

I finally get to add something to this thread!!!!

Bone stock '07 GT; Team Performance Products/Exile Turbo Systems "Heritage Twin Turbo System":

11.75 at 123.58 (crappy 2.215 sixty foot time)

I'll update the incrementals after I get to the house. Timeslips are in the log book.

What kind of suspension you got on that thing, 2.1, ouch, even for M&H's. Sick MPH though!

No suspension mods. Hell...it doesn't need them right now. Doesn't even spin the tires. Leaves like a soft stocker. Turbos don't come in until 2500 rpm and I can't get anymore than 1800 rpm out of the stock converter. The car just drives out about 80 feet and then comes up on boost. Hence....suckass sixty foot times.

We are going to put a PI converter in the car over the next two weeks along with the Metco rear suspension parts. Another tune is also coming up since we only had time for two pulls at Strictly. With a 3500 converter in the car we should be in good shape. If we can get the sixty foot times down to around 1.60 or so we should be in the 11-teens at 125 mph. There is also a roll bar going in the car while it is out in California. Figure we'll need that too.

That is impressive with no suspension mods. I am thinking 1.6 60's will get you a bit further than mid-teens. Add some rear suspension and you will be dialing up 11.0 index, with the ability to break 10's in my opinion. Keep us posted.

I'm trying to be conservative with the estimates. If it goes 11.0's I'll be happy as hell. As long as it's consistent and stays in one piece so I can win rounds. Have to win rounds to win championships.

How are the guys at Powerhouse? Are they coming to Commerce? Let 'em know I said "Hey". Great bunch of guys over there.

I just had dinner with Mike a couple nights ago, he is so busy trying to get some of these builds done that he has no time for anything right now, so doubt he will make it down there.
He just finished up fabbing the turbo kit on my car, it's about 90% done, just the wastegate and bov left to install, then it is time for the intake and wiring.
I understand the decisions to be conservative with the numbers, but looking at the #'s from your runs I think you will run right at 11.0 index. Lean on it a bit and the car has easy 10's. I am sure you will find a sweet spot to be consistent after the next round of mods.

Found the timeslip. No scanner here right now so I'll just post the incrementals.

60'..............2.134
330'............5.274
660'............7.768 @ 98.36 mph
1000'...........9.928
1320'...........11.753 @ 123.58 mph

Reynolds is going to be interesting. Commerce should be a friggin' blast.

Hey Matters....wanna race?

You know me I am always up for a race, that being said, I have no cage so legally I can't! However just remember, I still have ALLOT left in this thing, so I am just toying with it for now. I can pick up 1 or 2 tenths taking out the Drive Shaft alone! SD I am sure we are going to line em up sometime this year in Qualifing and see whats up!

Wow, I didn't know you were on stock suspension. The stock LCA's are crap, I had them replaced before my first track run when my car was NA. I take for granted that some people still are on them.

If you go with the new converter, I would definitely get some new LCA's on that car. You on the stock rear end? I would also look into a girdle cover and axle brace.

Your mph screams low 11's high 10s, anxious to see you dial that car in.

Complete Metco rear suspension package is going in the car while it is in California. Rear end is getting 9" housing ends, Moser axles, Detroit Locker, 3.55 or 3.73 gears, and girdle cover. Not taking any chances. Roll bar is being fabbed early next week. We figure the car should go well below 11.49 so all of this is going to be installed before the car leaves for the Reynolds NMRA race. Talked to Precision Industries today and we settled on 3500 rpm stall speed. Sponsor is really excited about the power we're making on such a mild tune. We'll see what happens in four weeks.
