No still waiting for them to come in... We get stuff a little late here In Canada :p

I might work on the car a bit tonight doing some small things. I just ordered up the rear Strange drag brakes and 9" ends... once that comes in Im pulling the rear end out and sending it to the chassis shop to get shortened 1" on each side.

Didn't you have the strange brake setup on the 8.8 too? Whatcha doin with that set? :)

No I bought the front kit and never did do the rears. So now is the time :beerdrink:

more gross weight and some rotating weight as well. I want to hang the front end to a 1.3x sixty foot.... lot's of track time but I am prepared for the work :thumb:

Great build you have going on here Matt !

Well detailed and informative.
I think this thread will be great for future Coyote swappers in S197 cars.

A may grab a 5.0 myself after following Matts thread.... It's either that or going with a High compression shortblock (298ci +), Stage 3 Heads, High lift Cams....etc

This is just awesome. Your past build was faster than my blown car and this will be even faster. Great reading material!

I wish they made an electric water pump for the new 5.0.... the thermostat housing is now a bit differn't then before. Im hoping to get it running in a week or two when the rest of the stuff arrives. Open headers dam right lol

No electric water pump yet and I thought I read some where about underdrive pulleys!!!
I found this today - its lighter and I know how you like that

no.. my funds are currently running low lol.... I had alot of small things that added up to big dollars real fast. Gauges, drag brakes, 9" ends, still need the axles bought all the coolant tubes for the motor and heater core lines, carpet etc...

Cage arrives tomorrow so I have some more work finally xD

I want to get this thing on the dyno as soon as possible aswell... I really want to get it broken in and maybe even test some C10 race fuel to see if I can free up some ponies.

Axles? Are you stepping up to 33 spline or staying 31?

Im getting Strange pro race 31 splines (1" shortened)

Going for that mini tub look.... That's the thing ive wanted the most for so long :p

I can't wait to see it after it's tucked. With the rear lowered & with my new rear suspension from upr.

You gonna run at fatter tire? Or stick with your current setup?

Changing it up a little bit :evillaugh:

On my black drag rims I will actually be going to a smaller tire... 26x10 MT stiff side wall slick (pure street style tire) so it will be smaller overall Dia (even more gearing) then my old 28x10.5's

On my polished bogarts I currently run a 275/60/15 MT Street radial on the street.... once I wear those out I think 325/50/15's are in order to hook even better on the street :beerdrink:

I need to run 28's on the street to keep the rpms a bit lower on the hwy :roflmao:
