thanx holy. hey where have you been the past few months...

yea, i think that will work perfect....

also, im wondering if i could make a power pipe type inlet but it as a draw through maf...... think that will work?

Yeah you could use a power pipe with a more free flowing design to it? Do you plan on making your own or buying one like the Anderson Power Pipe?

making my own.... basically, i just wanna shorten up the vortech one....
the thing is anderson's pipe makes you relocate your maf to right before the TB or making it a blow through....
If i did that, i would have to ditch my current IAT sensor thats in the manifold and i would have to extend the wires to the new maf location....

so im wondering if i could just come off the vortech inlet with a elbow, then to the stock maf ring, to a filter and then leave my IAT sensor where it is.... although ill have to plug the 2 current BOV ports and weld in the flange for the new maxflow... i might need more info before i do this hahaha

Yeah I would looking into that a little more....sounds like a very short route for the MAF.....but who knows, it may work.

http://www.andersonfordmotorsport.c...category_id=92&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1
read the install instructions....
also, im guessin a DBX-85 is the same thing as a MafiA... which i have on the car but set to "0" or stock setting...

I would concentrate more on the Paxton A2A setup they have because yours is very similar to it in design. You have to be careful with where that MAF is located as far as the BOV is concerned. The DBX-85 looks like a better unit then the MAFIA. The MAFIA uses the stock MAF and allows for adjustment to keep it from spiking, where the DBX-85 replaces the stock Mass air flow sensor and housing and allows for full ability to customize depending your application.

If your were gonna go that route and go with the DBX-85 yoy might as well just grab one of the SCT Big Air MAFs.

got ya, so the dbx-85 is way better.... maybe ill just keep the intake get the smaller pulley and just add the max flow bov....

Also if your gonna spend that much money on a power pipe you could always custom make one to suit your setup if you have a buddy who can tig weld or if you know how.

We are making a custom one for my friends whipple setup... Then powdercoating it... Going with 4.5 inch round routed down into the bottom of the bumper with a filter guard.

Motor and headers look great.

Friend is out of town in Arizona currently, we are waiting on his heads. I'll get some pics when he gets back in town.
