and to bbr, thats cool your trying to fix the other fittment issues! ill be getting this intake soon!! im shure steeda will make a new tube to fit, so i may just wait and see what happens
not shure if i like an adapter. i would have to see if it affected performance.

ill fab up a stainless pipe myself..witch may actually happen anyways if the other stuff isent out when i get this thing, just to make it work, and when the correct stuff comes out ill put that on

I gotta admit, it's pretty frustrating to see the "You gotta wait till the mag comes out" stuff once again. Hopefully, someone who gets one of the few that a vendor on here had for sale recently will be able to get back to the forums with some #'s way before the mag makes them known.

John - How difficult is the installation? Is this an easy "install it in your driveway" kind of thing or is a trained mechanic necessary? I'm a good parts changer, but I'm no mechanic.

Takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour with basic hand tools.

Thanks John.

Can we get a HP range from you of what kind of gains you saw? These "teaser" posts really do nothing for us hard-core enthusiasts except piss us off.

0-10HP?

10-25HP? (yes I made that a large range so if it is 11 you aren't spilling the bad news and if it is 24 you aren't divulging the good news)

25+HP?

I can't give a number... However... I can say that it's well worth the upgrade. Both for numbers and for drivability.

We'll have them here next week in stock.

Good to hear!

The good news is, you guys are already ahead on the tuning side of things. As I am sure with the shorter runners, tuning will be very important to making the most potential HP and TQ.

Can't wait to see the results!

I'll buy one, install it, get the tune, and post the numbers here. Won't take me 3 months. ;)

I feel like my BBR OR/X pipe was well worth the upgrade. Seeing as it, http://www.blowbyracing.com/bbr20mugtofx.html , is $298.98 and yields an additional 15 rwhp, that comes to a $ / rwhp ratio of $19.93 / 1.

I understand you can't divulge an exact number, so work with us here. At a cost of $549.95 according to your BBR forum section here, that means that the Boss intake would need to yield 27.6 rwhp to be "well worth the upgrade" as you put it. So, are we even close (within 10%) to seeing a $19.93 / 1 price to power ratio? I'm skeptical... but I still want one.

^ second this. "worth the upgrade" is very subjective. For 550 bucks 10whp might be worth it to some, and not to others.

List of things to do:

1) Buy a 2012 Mustang GT...

...gotta get that done first, but damn!

I'm already picking out mods that I can't afford to buy for a car I haven't ordered yet...

Pretty soon....pretty soon....
