Just read a few things online about the kc. Apparently it pulls so much a/c that you can't even cool your car down inside and in the Houston summer heat, thats a no-no.

Remember you can adjust your refrigerant levels. They guarantee to lower 50-55 degrees. Thats a bold guarantee. As for in cabin stuff and such I dont think the difference is +/- 9 degrees or so. Remember during daily driving your iat's dont get that hot since the bypass valve is open so you are not really raising your iat's during daily driving.

Can't believe KB hasn't addressed slippage issues, thats crazy!!!! I always assumed since every pic I saw of a KB it had the normal belt sys. that slippage wasn't that bad...

my friend had one and on the stock belt and stock boost it squeaked like a basketball players sneaker with every gear change (auto). I had a whipple with the same deal on a manual and it slipped alot too.

I started a thread to ask Brenspeed for a performance comparison (IAT change) and all I can get from anyone is they perform comparably.

As for expense,

1. it says Saleen
2. it has a big ass pump

It is dimensionally smaller than the Afco dual pass dual fan unit, but since it has the bigger pump it appears to provide the same cooling (nobody yet to confirm this with numbers). I don't know if is also dual pass, the input and output are on opposite ends though since that is the way the Saleen is plumbed stock.

How bad is belt slippage w/ a KB???
Bad, and on top of that it chucks them into the bottom side of the hood which makes a big dent.

Stronger tensioners are the band aid that people have been using but they have their own built in problems and that is shock loading the balancer/crank snout which doesn't do the crank any good and have been known to shatter oil pump gears.
