ok, so my local speed shop is having a huge sale, i wanna get springs and struts tommarow but i am not sure if thats all i need so i have some questions...

i am looking into the frpp 1 inch lowering springs and the frpp struts. do i need camber plates? will i be able to get a good alignment with this setup?

also do i need to buy strut mounts or new bumpstops?

kinda new to the s197 suspension thing.

What type of deal will you be getting on them? I installed my K springs (1.5" drop" without a problem and didn't use them.

i would suggest x5 ball joints and bumpsteer kit... both from steeda. it's worth every penny. i didn't need castor/cambor plates and it aligned perfectly.

550 for springs and struts.

That's not a great deal really... I've got the Koni STR.T's and Steeda Sports for $573... that combination rides a lot better, and the Koni's have a lifetime warranty on the shocks (the FRPP Struts/shocks do not).

I say go with Strano. Sure the other company is local, but have you seen Strano's videos on his website? He knows these cars. And for $23.00 more, I would take Koni's any day.

are the frpp/gt500 strut mounts really worth it or needed?
Recent S197s come with the 'GT500' strut mounts. I bought the new ones and when the 2009 was apart the mounts were the same, including the 'A' in the part number.

If they are more than a couple years old, the sixty bucks for new ones makes replacement a wise choice as long as the struts are already out.

Go with Sams stuff, sports and konis will handle better than the frpp stuff. If you need help I'm local and can help you install it. I also have a spring compressor.
