anyone install CHI control arm relocations?

i am trying to but the holes are way off and instructions say to make the holes larger in the che brackets to maatch the factory holes. But they are almost 1/4 " off thats nuts and i have them flush they dont fit but one way.. anyone else notice that on 2011s

I just put mine in on Sunday morning. I had to grind about 1/10 and 1/4 of an inch on the passenger side and about 1/8 of an inch on both holes of the driver side. A friend of mine did his on his '06 the day before and he had to grind the passenger side but not the driver side.

I had to grind mine too, or drill them maybe, I can't remember.

FUK... i started on drivers side.. both holes need grinding.. cant wait to see the pass side.. guess this is where i shoulda listend to myself and got BMR's

i think they need a new JIG.. or try them on a non wrecked car. hard to believe we have 1/4" slop in factory bolt holes... all our suspensions must be screwd from the factory lol...

The holes have to be enlarged (too small for the bolt) or they just dont line up with the factory holes?

Thats some thick steel to be opening up holes..

If CHE, call them and let them know what the issue is. I have used a lot of their parts without 1 single fitment issue. I am positive they will resolve it for you.

If there is a problem, they may leave the holes smaller on purpose to fit them, you want as little slop as possible with a bolt on only bracket for it to move around.

Every CHE part I have used comes with very detailed instructions. Did the OP not get these?

i have instructions and it says clearly that due to factory tolerances some grinding may need to be done. but dang almost 1/4 " to ligne up with factory holes. the hole should been drill 1/4" towards the back of the car. i'm bout to scrap them say fuk it its just shitty parts and go BMR atleast those fit

My UMI ones work beautifully on my 5.0.

yes they put the control arms level with the car instead of the rear of them pointed up.. some have even lower holes to provide more bite, and they do help wheel hop.

Does this effect handling at all? Seeign that these cars are supposed to handle really well, I would hate to impact that.

We have had great luck in both fitment and performance with our brackets, we are very pleased with our design. Now the area that may be giving the original poster issues could be the factory holes on the rear end where the threads/nut is welded on. We have noticed the threads aren't always dead center and vary in location which could give you a small issue.

The relocation brackets lower the rear of the control arm and work as an anti-squat bracket. The help to plant the tires harder into the ground while lifting the body. They will work on both lowered and non-lowered vehicles, on lowered vehicles they help to correct the control arm angle on a lowered vehicle. For handling, on a stock height vehicle they can effect handling but in most cases it would not be noticeable unless the vehicle was being auto crossed or similar.
