The tool is definetly a good investment since with the blower you will be changing plugs alot more often. Besides most places dont offer pre-gapped plugs since the gap depends on the apllication.

Heard the gap tool is $32 and I can return the ones I already have...Not sure what to do

The only place that I've seen offer anything like this is Brenspeed. They offer to gap the plugs at the time of checkout. It's an additional $10 per plug!!! Talk about a rip off in my opinion! So, I'm really not sure why the OP would return his plugs... The gap tool might be $32 but it's an investment that you need. The gap will need to be checked and adjusted eventually anyways.

lol $10 to gap a single plug? Does that include a handjob?

Any gapping tool better than the others or are they all pretty much the same?

Just gap the plugs yourself. You will need a set of wire feeler gauges as the blade type don't fit well. Search the forums for gapping tools. I went with a procedure I found here that does not require the tool (due to time constraints). I would probably buy the tool though. There are several out there.

You already got the 3.6 , but you will probably not hit 450 RWHP with that pulley. The 3.4 yes, but it will still be alot more than you have now!

Time on the GT500 pump install for me was about 3.5 hours with a little helper and I am meticulous. You can get that in at anytime and it really won't affect the car negatively. The pumps will just cycle less. Better to do that before I would think, but you won't really need them until you go to a 3.4 or smaller pulley. Just extra insurance now.

Follow the Ford install procedure for the Plugs including the nickel anti seeze as directed. I was lucky and mine came out without issue. The COP bolts were stuck on good though!

With those pumps and a good tune you won't run out of the 39lb injectors until you get a built engine or are about to.

Looking forward to the progress and Congrats.

My local shop is gapping them for me today for free. So thats taken care of. I agree, the pumps arent 100% needed, but are going in for safety(so it doesnt lean out up top). Just waiting on the pump drivers to get here.

haha thanks. Picking up the SC oil this saturday with the AFCO HE (it was back ordered). With all of these delays I probably wont have the RTR's til May.

So I'm halfway through and just realized that I'm missing a few things. Called up JDM and Saleen and ordered the water tube kit, ACT harness, upgraded MAF connector, alternator wiring, and a few misc bolts. The HT0's are gapped and read to go in. The 39lb Injectors should be here beginning of next week as well as the fuel pump drivers. And I'm picking up the AFCO H/E and SC oil this weekend.

So far Ive been doing everything myself and I'll say the Saleen SC kit really isnt that difficult to do. I encourage anyone thats debating this to do it themselves rather than paying a shop $1000 to install it for you.

Shooting for an RET dyno tune next week!
