I posted a few weeks back that I was purchasing a braided line kit from JPC racing to replace the stock plastic line. Since the price is less than half of the ford racing FRPP version I assume there might be a few other members that might be interested in the same setup. JPCracing does not sell it on their site so you will need to call and ask for Tommy. The fittings are a duplicate of the factory ones and fitment is perfect You will only need to find something to tie wrap the line to but there are plenty of things to help yo with that. Here are the photos. Let me know if you have any questions.

just a few inches of slack. 36" is about right so it gives you room to route it around some of the other lines. It connects to the firewall then over to the transmission.

Can this be done with the tranny inside the car? I have access to a Lift and LOTS of tools at a shop. Did the clutch a couple months ago and was just wondering if it could be done.

you will need to drop your k member a few inches so you can get your hands in there. Its a tight fit. I dont think the average person's hands will fit.

Hm.. that's weird, I did a drivetrain swap and doing so I went from Auto to manual and I dont recall having any issues puttin the stock line in. I know I didnt put it on the tranny before I installed it because the stock one is pre formed and wouldnt be easy to manuever while connecting the tranny.

I wonder if you happened to install the clutch line while the cross member was still disconnected? That might yield enough clearance to get your hand in there to connect and clip the u shaped clip.

ethrjock, I have a question about your factory line, I assume by now that you’ve replaced your factory line, could you tell me if the factory line was 100% pre-bent plastic or was a portion of the line made from a flexible rubber?

I’m asking cause the other night I reached down behind the engine to touch the clutch line leading to the trans and when I grabbed the portion of the line that’s covered with a tube of heat shield... the damn line feels very flexible as if it’s made of a soft rubber... is this normal or should I be alarmed? As far as I know, it’s a factory line.
