Here is the VIN # 1ZVFT82H855190317

I believe this car came from GA.

I am looking to buy the car, however, it has a number of mods the dealership has no info on. It only has 27K miles, however, I am not sure about dyno numbers, any problems with the motor, who did the work, etc.

Not sure if anyone knows this car. Any help is appreciated!

PS - The dealer I am buying from bougth this car from Carmax.

I was hoping for serious help.

The car was traded in to Carmax a while ago, and already had the KB installed. This guy from Next Level Autos, where the car currently is, bougth it from them.

I wasn't sure if maybe this was a car someone recognized, and maybe knew the original owner. Due to privacy laws, I cannot get the info from Carmax on the last owner.

Thanks though.

Here are my pics from today...Glad i could help.

Mods that I found:
Headers
39# injectors
Steeda tensioner
BAP
Mac mufflers

Problems that I found:
Revs high on cold startup for 8-10secs (please see video)
large amount of oily substance on manifold
bolts/pulleys/etc rusted under the hood
1 wheel has curb damage (not much)
body markings around car (not much - normal wear and tear)
exhaust rattles/whines at idle (maybe clamp or touching metal)
both door handles seem to be broke - they dont go all the way back in once you open or close the door (see pics)
driver side seat cracking a little (normal wear)
carbon fiber decklid panel sticks out off the trunk at the top (see pic below)
rust on passenger door at the bottom

Pros:
Runs great
Idles perfect (other than cold start)
clutch is very smooth and grabs in every gear (not notchy)
AC/heat works
all lights work
body doesnt seem to be beaten on other than small markings
paint is still very good

HERE IS THE START UP VIDEO

No way that thing only has 27K. If it does that was probably the hardest 27K ever, and did they store it in a field with the hood off?
I haven't seen that many leaves under a hood since the 79 bronco I bought off an old farmer that left it in a field for almost 10 years.
I personally would walk away, that car has had a hard life, but if the price is right.

Overall the car is clean (minus under the hood and trunk seal area). Dont know if that was the previous owner or when the car was being traded and sold at the auction.

Underneath, the car is clean. It surprised me when I saw it too, but a good cleaning will fix that. A low mileage GT with a Kenne Bell on it and its at a good price.

I think the manifold is nasty due to someone spraying engine detailer on it and overtime all the dirt and stuff got caught in the stickyness. Who knows. I would go for it.

Ok I retract my previous statement. None of the links would work for me so I hadn't actually seen it, but I got it too and your right overall its not that bad. Still the dealer didn't see to maybe remove the leaves from the trunk and maybe degrease it first?
I am still skeptical about the "As you can see from the pictures, this Mustang GT has been well cared for by its only two previous owners here in the south" part. Condition wise I wouldn't say its been completely "well cared for".

That body looks it has more chips out of the paint than my 96 f150.

It was actually not as bad as what I made it seem like. I am really anal and alot of this stuff was extremely small. My close up pictures make them seem way worse. Also, remember this car is an 05. Your talking about 6 years of driving so of course there will be a couple imperfections.

That car shows serious signs of neglect. Get a leak down test or at least an oil analysis.

A leak down test would be good but I test drove it today and it ran great. It only runs 8-9psi right now and it will go. If I had to guess, I would say it would dyno around 380-415hp. It doesnt hit as hard as mine, but I also have a custom tune, bigger tb, and 2-3more psi than this one.

Whats up with that idle?

Is it running the stock tb atm?

Yes, pretty positive it is the stock tb. The idle is unknown at this time. Car does not through any codes so it could be possibly one of two things.

1) Tuner could have it adjusted this way to help warm car up
2) Looks like the previous owner routed the PVC line on the valve covers to just route under the car? Im not sure if they are connected to anything so it could be that the lines are just breathing in air. I didn't see any catch cans or any place they were mounted so thats what im leaning to
