If they close their account paypal wont be able to get any money back for you. At least thats how i understood it.
Thats what I thought too. Once a scam-er gets his/her money, they move it to their bank account and leave their paypal balance at $0 so you cant get anything back from them

again lol? that big ass bag of popcorn never runs out.
Ultra is always ready to bring out the popcorn!

+1....he took great care of me with a TC from PTC, answered numerous PM's and phone calls...I can't understand nor believe he is doing this....I am sorry all of you are going through this ordeal and hopefully it all gets worked out.

im really pissed, try to file claim but it says dispute cannot be resolved thru paypal.. this dude is a piece of shit. all he had to do was refund money if he couldnt provide the plates instead of making lame excuses.. i guess this crook took my money. I wont be buy anything from classifieds again. i have learned my lesson. dont trust anyone when it comes to money.. Plus he hasnt logged on in a while which shows how loyal he is to his words. if any of you know him in person please pass these statements thru.

Same here. If its not a new part, its not going on my car. I NEVER buy from the classifieds, EVER! The 1 time i do in almost 10 yrs of being on forums this happened, it will not happen again. I dont give a damn if its only been on somebodies car for 1 second, it wont be on mine. Im not mad about the money, i will make more, its the time i have wasted is what pisses me off.

Not everyone is out to scam you. I have had several great dealings with people on here.

If you file a chargeback, the credit card company takes the money from paypals bank account not the seller. It is then up to paypal to get the money from the seller. A chargeback is almost always guaranteed to get you your money back. I have heard that you can charge back a visa debit card but I have no experience with that. The way I understand it is if you win a claim you get your money back from paypal through their purchase protection plan. Paypal claims a fraud rate of less than 1% so they guarantee your money is protected. I imagine they would file the lost funds in small claims court or claim it as a debt collection on your credit report and sell the debt off. I'm sure they make enough money to cover their fraud rate.

I've purchase two items from the classifieds on here and both times I have had an issue with the items. The first seller took care of it and I'm happy with that deal but after this I highly doubt I will buy again on here unless I pick it up in person. Heck I sold an item on here and the buyer was happy with it but after multiple pm's for feedback he refuses to leave it for me even though I left it for him. How can you build a rep when people don't respect the itrader system?

It looks like he didn't intercept my plates at UPS like he claimed. To me it looks like he rushed them out the door to clear up the paypal claim and sent out some overlooked poor quality junk. Most likely because you can't close your paypal account or remove any bank information while a dispute is ongoing.

I got to thinking with all of the worries expressed on here about the quality so I decided to go over mine more thoroughly. I originally just looked at the welds and they look good so I put them away since I knew I wouldn't be on the dyno until after Dragging Rights. I took some pictures of the damage that I see on my plates. One of the holes has a piece completely gone. What it looks like is it melted and the aluminum from the chipped area melted into where the gasket goes. There are also dings all over the plates. I took a pic of the most obvious area. Some of the holes have been ported so heavily that ports are off by quite a bit. The side walls almost look paper thin in some areas. To be honest I have no idea if that really matters on the plates. I put mine on a flat surface and they wobble severely. The middle portion of the plates are the thickest but the ends are off by a huge amount. I did not put the calipers on them yet, but I would say over .100 easily. These plates work like a see saw on a flat surface. I should have checked this earlier but these plates are junk. Since he isn't replying I'll go straight to the paypal claim. I'm done dealing with this situation.

Wow, mine didn't look anything like that. Looks like he started to get in a hurry when things started going south!

I know as of sat morn he was back at the hospital with his dad. Apparently his dad had 3 blood clots show up and they were doing emergency surgery on him. I have had many dealings with Chris like Greg above with both converters and parts and have never had the issues you guys are.
