Morning all... Took my wife to our favorite dealership Thursday night to "Look" at Mustangs... She immediately fell in love with a used 2014 GT Premium Convertible... Until I asked about the rollover safety... Went home... Any time on Friday that we spoke to each other... Mustang on the brain...

"She" wanted to go look at Mustangs and made the mistake of taking me with her... First two pics of our new baby are below...

Long story short. I was wanting to get a 2015 or 2014.5 (Whatever they officially become) but could not take myself away from one of the GT's they had on the lot . My wife and I sold all our "Toy's" and her 2007 GT a few years back to gather enough $$ for a down payment on a home... And to be frank, it was the only car we have ever missed and speak of fondly when it comes to mind.

Soooooo... I left the office early on Friday so we could see the Stangs in daylight this time. Only to have the rain and wind kick our butts. Man it was cold... Really liked two of the Stangs they had... One fully loaded, one I affectionately call... A semi-real sports-car trim. The basic GT with no frills and the Auto (Wife needs the auto, long story). Told our sales guy to make a deal for xyz and we will buy it. Went home for the evening... They called about an hour after we got home and said we got what we wanted... Drove back, picked her up in the dark, they stayed 40 or so past closing to finish up...

This was our 15th purchase from Ford, and 9th from the same dealer (Seventh from same salesman. All the others had been from different dealerships) and something like the 30th vehicle we have owned.

By far this is the most fun, "Soul" feeding car we have owned thus far...

Still coming up with a name for her.

The forum name I chose is in the love of the last S197 model year and in loving memory of our son that we lost a few years ago, and would have been 25 this year...

We do plan to do upgrades little by little. And God willing, we will have this car in our stable until we can no longer drive... Or Ford comes out with a Stang that cannot be ignored... lol...

S197Probie - so good to have you on the forums. Nice to have met you, as well !!! Thanks for stopping by my house for the wheel swap yesterday; I'll put your factory 18's to good use at the race track while you get good use out of my factory 19's.

When you start to mod your new GT, I hope you'll keep our dealership in mind. They've done tons of installs for me and our customers over the years. Everything from superchargers, suspension, bigger brakes, gear swaps, etc.

I'm always available to answer questions you may have, as well. You have my card & cell phone # so feel free to call, text, email, etc.

Thanks for the business. Enjoy your new pony! From one prior '07 GT owner to another: welcome back to the S197 world !!!

Thank you and happy to... I only show links though (Possibly because I am new and the forum has restrictions on noobs?), and they open in a small 640x480 in my chrome. What size is preferred?

I edited the post to have just the links shown - when I opened the thread the pics were huge on my 17" monitor

640 x 480 is fine a bit bigger is ok too.

Welcome! Congratulations on getting another Mustang. I hope you and your wife enjoy it for many years to come. My Mustang is our "family" car. Anytime we go on a trip together we take the stang. My 7 year old and my wife love it.

Man, the pleasure is all mine Brian. These rims are much better looking than the "Plastic" colored factory rims that came on her... We are very appreciative of your kindness and help. Thank you.

Did not know about the shop in that manner. Good to know. All I knew is if I had any issues in the past that they always did a great job for me. I know a supercharger and suspension work is something we will be doing in the next few years.

I do have to say though...I think window tinting is going to happen sooner than later. The sun came out today and daaaaang...

In other news... I find it funny how many "Racers" came up on me on I-5 during a trip to Tumwater and back... Never had that happen with our 2007 GT... I told my wife it is because the Stang is just simply one sexy car and folks want a closer look... Unfortunately one of those racers got pulled over by the SP about five seconds after catching up to me. And let me tell you, he came out of nowhere! :omfg: Thank goodness I had cruse set... I thought about hitting the hammer for a few seconds as I have not yet opened her up. But decided, meh, no need I know what she can do... Then BAM... Lights... "Phew" :laughlots:

Weeellllllll, stkjock runs out of meds frequently, then he tries to make his own with stuff found under the kitchen sink and that usually doesn't work out to well either. So who knows what happened. He's probably at his electroconvulsive therapy session so be patient. He'll fix it..............and/or ban me.

Pahahaha!!!!!!!!!!:chainsaw::crazy:
