Just purchased 2006 GT with mods questions

Hello

So I picked up a 2006 Gt with 4.6 3 valve that has had some mods done as a father/ son Project. Little rough on outside but previous owner did some bolt on upgrades. I have a couple questions

1. It has Long tube headers and is straight piped but I was trying to figure out what brand of headers they could be. I haven't been able to locate a tage but the finish(paint or whatnot) is flaking off. They are a dull silver.
2. The tuner supplied is a bamma and set-up to run off 91 can I retune to 87? It has cams, CAI, long tube headers, and the intake valve delete (sorry still learning terminology). What are pros and cons?
3. And lastly(for now) is there a trim piece that is supposed to cover the rear speakers in the trunk lid?

If you can post a picture of the headers, someone may be able to identify them. I don't believe it matters much for tuning purposes though. My tuner never asked what brand mine were, just long tubes: yes or no?
You can have it retuned for 87 if you want. It will take a long time to recover the cost in fuel savings though. If "straight piped" includes the cats being deleted, you may also have trouble finding someone willing to write a tune for you. If you do find a tuner, they will likely want to know exactly which cams and intake are on the car in addition to the fact it has long tubes and CMCV delete.
There is a grille that covers the rear speakers. On early cars, they are designed to be removable from the carpet panel while later cars have them permanently attached.

Congrats on the purchase.

1. For longtubes, brand doesn’t really matter. The tune is updated more or less the same way.

2. These cars aren’t octane limited by compression and were designed to run 87, so you can have a tuner send over a tune for 87. Basically will just mean you have less aggressive ignition/spark timing so you will have a little less power and throttle response. Charge Motion Delete Plates (CMDPs) are what delete the charge motion control valves in the intake runners. They help airflow slightly with cams but at the expense of less efficient fuel/air mixing in the runners. They were air tumblers designed to help fuel mixing in the intake track more than anything else. Having them removed also has the benefit of preventing the CMCVs from sticking or breaking off as these cars age.

You might check if there is an 87 octane tune listed in your tuner already. Bama offers tunes for "life" but is limited to original purchaser and only the original car the tune was for, so to get something that is not already available in the tuner will require paying for a new tune, and many are not fans of the Bama ones.
The general consensus is that a Lito tune is tops for getting the most out of your setup, you can do some searches for more info.

these cars did not have speakers in the trunk lid, if you mean the package tray behind the rear seats, there are no covers, more air the better for speakers.

Here is the pic of the headers. The reason I was checking on the type of headers is was it has on off-road x-pipe exhaust and was looking to get possibly a different exhaust that isn't as aggressive.
Will get some pics of car once we put the new radiator support and radiator on(deer hit by previous owner)
Yeah was thinking lito as the tune guy once I get things figured out what I got and go from there.

Those are mild steel headers (definitely not stainless) so I'm gomna guess they're Pacesetter units.
Even the cheap Chinese eBay headers are 304 stainless steel so the ones on the car aren't those.

Pacesetters use a slip-fit connection, not a ball and flange set up.
