    Clutch recommendations

Don't get anything other than a stock clutch if you don't have a power adder. It doesn't drive as good.

    Clutch recommendations

I took mine to a race shop because the slave cylinder was leaking. I just told them to get a clutch kit from the ford dealer and put it in. Pretty sure it was repackaged aftermarket stuff but it drives fine.

    Lunati VooDoo #21270700 Camshafts

I’m always impressed by the depth of fine-tuning you do to your car. You’ve got the have the most dialed-in tune out there! Maybe one day I’ll find the time to learn all this stuff.. right now I barely have time to wash my car!

I'm back. Best available option on a new rear end

I've taken an 8-10 year break from the forum. My car has been in storage for the last 10 years and I want to make it a daily driver again before I go buy a new 5.0. One thing I need to do it make it drivable. When I used to drag race my car every weekend I definitely messed up my rear end...

Been gone a while, clutch time

This forum was created after everyone fled from The Mustang Source and Modular Fords. Mustang Source was all noobs and Modular Fords was where all the tech discussion was going on. There was some fallout with the Modular Fords forum owner being a prick or something to somebody and everyone...

Been gone a while, clutch time

So I've gone a while from the forum since the heyday of the S197. Don't really drive the car anymore, have 110k miles on the stock clutch. I need to do the TSB for the grinding flywheel noise and I might as well have the clutch done at the same time. I read some stuff that people are sticking...

Should I change my spark plugs soon?

never seen that boot before, interesting.

Should I change my spark plugs soon?

You should be warned that brisk plugs only last about 10k miles, I wouldn't use those. Our cars don't have boots and wires, they have coil packs, which don't need replacing.

Should I change my spark plugs soon?

Stay away from the Champion plugs, they are junk. I spent like 20 each on them when they first came out and my car ran like shit. I bought a set of motorcraft plugs and put them in and it ran fine after that. I changed mine out at 70k and followed the TSB to the letter. I didn't break any...

    Anybody got snow brush?

No that isn't 2 Expeditions parked next to each other. My car has about 50" of snow on top of it, I think maybe I should clear it off. Good thing for the Noah cover. That snow probably weighs 1000 pounds and probably isn't good for the suspension.

How much are oem seats worth?

I wish I could find a backup set of leather red ones. My leather hasn't held up too good. I think I'm going to have an upholstery shop replace the bad sections and re-dye them

    Complete antenna delete

Has anybody painted their side mirrors too? How does that come out with the weird texture that's on the plastic? My car's redfire. Basically I plan to put roush 1/4 side louvers, repaint the whole front of the car (hood paint is peeling off and front bumper looks like shit), delete the...

    Complete antenna delete

I thought about shaving the door handles but I was real worried about what happens when the car loses battery, etc. More importantly I pull my battery out of the car for the winter (to trickle charge), so I would have no way to get back in the car. The one time I would have problems with it I...

    Complete antenna delete

I'm going to be getting striped painted this year and was thinking of completely removing the antenna mount and mast. Patch the hole and paint it over. Has anybody done this? Did you use one of those antennas that stick to inside the back window?

    Car cover

I got the noah car cover today and put it on the car. Fits like a glove. Just in time for a 20" snow storm. I'm going to send Al Gore an email and ask him to come help me shovel. Jerk.

    Bad ball joints

I did my own ball joints a month ago. I got Moog parts from Rock Auto and had a friend with the ball joint tools. In addition to the press and adapters you need to remove/install them you need one of those spanner o-ring pliar tools (not really sure what you call it). There's a retaining ring...
