$450 is cheap for an alternator, on what fuckin planet?
I'm not knocking a high performance alt.
I'm sure your market is like high end radio people and stuff like that.

I don't think he was suggesting it was cheap for an alternator. But cheap for a custom alternator. Custom=$$$$$.

That said a $450 is not actually a lot of money, custom or not. There are quite a few OEM replacements in that price range......a lot more higher. I have seen 1000+ alternators.

Exactly. Considering there are other brands out there that sell for over 50% more than the DOB, it's not a bad $ to amp ratio.
