I just checked my car. Engine off and cold, key on, I got a similar click about 30 seconds later. Then another a little while late. Then a third. Could be something doing an initial self check or calibrating.
There is only a few things under the hood that make noise/move.
I doubt its the a/c clutch.

If the car wasn't running, its 99.99999% certain it is not a rocker or adjuster.
Had the car been running prior to recording? If not, 100% its not rocker or adjuster.
Make sure your hvac is all set to 'off'. There is only a couple things under the hood that might make that noise.
That was after I had driven the car down the road and back but 5 or so minutes after

The purge valve operates intermittently. Failure modes can include rapid clicking or no clicking. Unplug it and see if the click goes away.

If you unplug it, you'll likely get a code, but it should go away after plugging it back in. Probably the same with the vct solenoids. I don't know how fast the pcm will read that and throw a code.
Should go away on the next start up or several.

Well, I did hear it about 30 seconds after key on. And it was a lighter click, like a switch or relay, not like I would expect a rocker.

so i unplugged purge valve got no codes, noise still happened i drove car just a little short distance, came back and then opened hood immediately and was just touching my hands around to see if i could feel any reverb out of curiousity and i felt one on the vct solenoid each time the noise happened i felt it not sure what that could indicate but it seems like its pointing in a direction.

I'll be pulling off the cover this week end but just figured ide feel around again to see if it is anything obvious i didnt unplug the VCT because i worried that it might cause some strange engine running but it seems like it might be linked to the issue.
