? Its already been press released by Ford that 2013s going to get a "refresh" and the full redesign is 2015.

Ford's design chief, J Mays, says the styling for the next-generation Mustang is "being locked down." The redesigned car arrives for 2014 and coincides with a big historical event for Ford enthusiasts, Mustang's 50th anniversary. So can we expect another evolution of today's retro look? No way, Mays said this week during an interview at the Frankfurt auto show. Mays points to the Mustang redesigns introduced in 2005 and 2010: "Both of those cars everybody would say, ‘they are retro vehicles.' " But Mays said the next-generation Mustang will follow a different road. "The challenge or the opportunity for 2014 with a 50th anniversary car is to not just look back over your shoulder, but to try to win all of the Mustang faithful yet bring the brand forward as well," he says. I can't help but think that the reason for a change from evolutionary to revolutionary design is that the Mustang's been getting its lunch eaten by the Chevy Camaro this past year — partly because the Camaro has a much more future-forward design.

Here is my thought. I have the look-a-like 2010 tail lights on my 06. I do not think the look/style of the 2010 is so bad BUT from what I hear most guys HATE that they are angled back and the shape.

That's Motor Trend's guess of what the 2015 Mustang will look like, not the 2013 refresh. In other words "we have no damned idea what Ford's planning but here's an ugly guess. Please buy our magazine."

I hated them when they first came out. They have started to grow on me, and I even bought the 10+ tails for mine.. But I am hoping 2014 will be sexy, I plan on getting it lol.

10+ tail looks modern, instead of retro. Each time you look at it, it's more pleasing, it does grow on you. You can spot a 10+ a mile away on the road!

Well its all for nought now. Looks like the 2013 tails should refit to 10-12. However, more choices are a good thing. This would be GREAT if they actually did follow through and make refit tails of their own like I illustrated.

must have missed that release. it was originally planed for a 2014 restyle into a smaller more compact car.

We see the accuracy of my statement.

Looks like the 2013 tails should refit to 10-12.

In case you missed it ... some pics have been posted of the 2013 tail lights retrofitted to the 2010-12 car. They do fit, but not perfectly ... the bottom of the light housing has been reshaped and leaves a small gap between it and the sheet metal.
