This 2011 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L 4V Coyote came to us from up in the New Jersey area. It was recently put together and tuned by another shop up that way and the owner unfortunately didn't get to enjoy it too long before his motor blew. He got a really bad taste in his mouth after this and didn't know what to do. So, after speaking with a few of his local friends, we came up in conversation. It seems his friends had nothing but great things to say about us, so the owner called us. After speaking with him and going over some options, he decided it to be best to simply send us his 2011 5.0L Mustang GT, so that we can build it into a dual purpose street/road race car. So, he arranged for his car to be picked up and transported down to sunny south florida. While the car is down here, we'll be performing the following upgrades...
The customer isn't looking to light the world on fire with a high horsepower number. He's just looking for a car that he can go laps while beating the ever living snot out of it and not have to worry about it breaking. He doesn't want to go 4 laps and blow his motor again. LOL.
So with these upgrades, we'll have him around the 550-600 rwhp range, which is still respectable. But it'll be strong enough to hold up to the abuse of the road course. Also, to go a step further. The customer is going to fly down from Jersey to pick up the car. He'll be making a stop to bang some turns at one of our local road courses before he drives it 20 hours back to New Jersey.
So we'll keep everyone updated on the build and of course there will be pictures, dyno graphs and time allowing, I'll even be going to the track with the owner to take some action shots of his newly upgraded machine!
