2005-2009 BOSS Mustang?

Is there such a thing? I ran into a guy today in an 05-09 Mustang and it said BOSS above the GT badge and had stripes similar to the new BOSS Mustangs. I didn't get to talk to the guy, but it at least had larger mufflers on it. Just wondering if such a thing exists or if some guy upbadged a 05-09 GT.

It may be some dealer package if that dealer had no fear of getting sued by ford.

A few tasteful tributes were built, but mostly just stripes, wheels, spoiler swaps.

Team Shinoda made several Boss packages from 05-09 but most you see are just sticker specials.

A local dealer is well known for badging up Mustangs. I've seen many of their orange "Boss" models around. Just decals and wheels on a Grabber Orange Mustang. They also like to put cobra badges on cars. You would be surprised how many people think it's a factory offering.

OP: No such thing. Shinoda does a work up on a Mustang and calls it a boss, maybe that's what you saw? IIRC it included a stroked 4.6 and suspension upgrades. Similar to what Roush or Saleen did.

i dont think id go as far as calling something someone other than ford made a boss 302. its kinda like taking a v6 car and putting gt500 badges on it and calling it a gt500. yeah its your version of a gt500 but that doesnt make it a gt500

Either way it's not a Boss 302; it's a Saleen S302PJ Parnelli Jones Edition. There was no Boss 302 before 2012-13 (except 69-70 of course).

Like what happened in Missouri with a dealer selling "gt-350's". Guy I work with bought one. IIRC he told me they were forced or sued to stop selling them by Ford.

I know the top link they put an actual boss 302 motor in it. Wonder how they got that pushrod to work with the factory PCM

They sold those around here too. Same place that badges up Mustangs as Boss and other fakerey.

For what it's worth, there was a 3V Cobra Jet, which was also a convertible. It was auctioned off by FRPP a year or two ago.
