I just purchased a clean 2006 Mustang Premium V6 Convertible and have a question about the hood. The plastic hood scoop grill is missing and I have been looking for a replacement, but I can't seem to find anything like it. Do any of you guys know what kind of hood scoop this is? Even better is someone has the plastic grill insert to sell that would work.

Looks like a Cervinis B9 "Boss" style hood scoop, but could be wrong as I think a few companies like MMD made similar looking ones. But as far as I know there was no insert that came with that scoop. You can always fab one up your self. I use rain gutter screening from Lowes to make my side scoop grills.

After doing some more research, I have found a part# of F01230260DS for the hood. This is an aftermarket hood Boss 9 hood with non functioning ram air. Problem remains finding the plastic grill insert the covers the hole in the hood. When I purchased the hood, the previous
owner told me that the grill got broken and they threw it away. I can find the hood to purchase, but no one sells the grill insert by itself. I really don't want to purchase a new hood just to get the grill insert. Anybody have a possible solution?

07 Boss provide a good alternative... Also, someone proficient at 3D printing might be able to replicate the original?

You can get some good looking universal plastic or metall mesh grill inserts and glue it inside.

You're going to have to fab something up. Shouldn't be very difficult to find a suitable material and attach it.

Is that a fiberglass hood BTW? Looks kind of like raw fiberglass inside the inlet

It is an all steel hood. I was hoping to not have to do any paint work on the hood. I have found another black hood off a wrecked Mustang that I may purchase and then sell this one.
