Just like it says, swapping out the 3 valve for the 4 valve Shelby GT500 motor in my 06 GT... Need any insight about anything pertinent to this swap...
I have the FRPP crate motor and all the cooling hardware/hoses. I believe I need the GT500 ECU (computer)so I ordered one today. I have the GT500 fuelpump already and a dual BAP.
Was told that there might be an issue with the anti-lock brakes communicating with the ECU? Might need to do some re-pinning in the Smart Junction Box located behind the pass. kick panel for a few of these issues? Theres probably an issue with the A/C as well but I think it shouldnt be too bad.
So as I'm ready to get this project finished I just want to handle any operating and tuning issues that might come up now so as to not be pulling my hair outta my head when I turn the key!
Anything at all would be great!!!! Will post pics as the project goes. Thanx.
As of this post the motor is in the car and trans mounted. I will start the car and drive tomorrow I hope. I still might have some minor elec. issues at the smart junction box but not sure. I'm still not sure about the ABS system and I hope thats the only thing...
