a couple of questions for you guys if you dont mind please.

1st a little back story.last week i was looking around for an 11 gt auto and alot of the dealers here start them off at 34k.ok now with 2k down and at 9% interest my payments are in the ball park of 733 a month after all is said and done.this was straight up without trying to trade my 08 gt in,if i trade my 08 i might be a thousand or two upside down wich it will add more to my payment.

now with that said what are you guys getting this cars for out the door and what are your payments?

hey man i know you can get better than 34+, i can't help you on the payments because mine is paid for, but for has at least 1500 in rebates and another 500 if you finance through Ford. i would sugest selling your car out right, try that first as you will get more than as a trade, use that as a last resort. plus if your car has mods try putting it back to stock or as close to then you can sell those parts for more to your down payment and most dealerships don't care for mods and won't give you and more anyway. just to let you know i got a Kona Blue premium GT otd for 32,000 even. they showed the paper work and if i had paid sticker otd would have been 36450. so i was happy. hope this helps. David

The sticker on mine was just under 40k. I got if for 36k maybe a bit less can't remember. Whatever invoice is plus $1000 rebate. My payment is $550/month @ 2.9%.

I paid $34,5xx (invoice + $200) before my Ford factory rebate and brochure rebate. And this was some 6 months ago. You should be able to get it even cheaper.

i pay cash for cars... but if you can't... you need to shop that rate...9% is dreadful.

Example:
A new 5.0 for 30K@9% would end up costing you an additional 7K+ in interest.
That's supercharger mod money!!!

I got my base model with 3.73 gears out the door for 31k, tax and tag.

Not the best deal, I know, but that was actually after I talked them down quite a bit... haha

Put down my 07 which was paid for, they gave me $18k with 45k on the ODO.
Financed $18k @ 4.2% with a payment of $298 per month
I stretched the payment out as long as I could because I know i will pay more per month but like to have a resonable payment in case I have a bad month.

Holy crap dude. 9% interest!! My credit union is 2.75% for 72 months on new cars. Would be $482 a month. That would be a $251 a month savings. In case no one knows this the dealership gets a piece of the financing, so if you want to save a few bucks get your own money.

If you can use USAA, you will save thousands. Cook-Whitehead Ford in Panama City has some good Internet prices, but they are also a USAA preferred dealer. I am assuming from your "location" of 305 you live in Miami. Panama City is a bit of a drive, but that dealership moves SO many cars, they can afford to deeply discount them. I got my 2011 GT Premium with HID's, 3.55 gears, rearview camera and 19" wheels for $32,8xx OTD. That included GAP coverage too. The car originally listed for $36,9ish and they were asking $35,950. But USAA brought it down to the high $32K range OTD.

You can join and use USAA even if you aren't in the military or immediate family of military. It's definitely worth a few grand to go through the trouble of opening a basic checking account with them.

And yeah, 9% interest is crazy. If you have shitty credit, there's not much you can do about the interest rate. If you have decent credit, anything over 700, then the dealership is trying to rip your ass off.
