James, He was parked a few cas over from mine. Mike, It was nice to meet you. I was the one who asked you if you owned Powerhouse or were an employee. You put down some good times. I'm impressed with the car.

seeing all this 2011 results, this car is surely a beast. 500fwhp with bolt ons will be no problem.

Mike - what color is the car? I probably have some video of it from Saturday's true street. My buddy in a turbo Fox GT was running in that group.

I was wondering if you happen to get any video of my runs in True Street. I was the last car to run each time. I would like to see what the car is doing when I'm launching. If not oh well.

Too early to tell. The car is completely new with no break in. Things are tight. Be "easy" on the car (following the manual) for a few thousand miles then start racing it and it'll be a different story. It does not surprise me the gears are whining now after being beat on so hard so soon. They weren't ready for that yet. Not only that, I'd expect a little faster times once everything has "loosened up." MPG should also increase as well. I know mine did after I put a few thousand miles on it. Brand new it was horrible and I drove it like a grand ma 95% of the time. :roflmao:
If the gears werent ready to be beat on when he got it, they werent gonna be ready to be beat on at 4000 miles either, wouldn't have made a difference.

You don't know how metal works do you?

Running the ENGINE hard on break in to get a good seat on the rings, but the tranny is a different beast, and all those parts inside have to get comfortable and run through some heat cycles they stretch, expand, contract, wear-in etc...

synchros, bearing, bushings, spacers, shims, springs etc... you think these parts don't need some wearing in?

Kind of a weather permitting thing, i may head out again this weekend, but I have a few guys coming in for tunes on saturday so it is really had to say.

Meh, you guys are probably right, I havent ever had to break in a trans, just a couple built motors and I just know I have run the motors hard, figured a trans would be similar practice.
