you guys are cracking me up,

it's the same carrier thats in the current cars....

i'm dumping mine at 5400 and gonna be cranking it up.

how many hundreds of guys are dumping on the stock carrier????

I've only run the Ford 31 spline carriers. First one was a turbo '93 Cobra that went 10.55@133, and another was a twin turbo '03 Cobra that went 10.77@131. There's no question there are better diffs out there, especially for drag racing, but the stock Ford 31 spline diff is a proven unit capable of quite a bit. However, launching at 7k on the nitrous is certainly grounds for a better diff.

And congrats to both shops. I think what's going on here is less like mud slinging, and more like simple competition. I'd say keep it up.

BTW, I drove a 2011 GT today with 19 miles on it. It was badass! The owner of it (who has posted in this thread) wasn't thrilled with my spirited driving, lol.

Hopefully no real harm done to the motor. At least it might yield some info on what not to do. That's really the point of shops doing this though. Besides the bragging rights to be the first do run xx time, they break stuff so they know what can and cannot be done to customer's cars.

Far from the last..... there is nothing wrong with the car, we feature better footage of it in our 1080P HD Video that I'm uploading now! If you were able to tune a 2011 Mustang GT you would know what happened, but you don't, but I explain in the video......Free Pointers JJ!

Sorry, should have said "last one of the day" or were there subsequent runs that the car actually made it down the track under its own power?

"able to tune" is not the question, just having the support to do so is, big difference there Fred. You personally would still be selling double dubs if it werent for your association with one of the top tuners in the nation and thats no secret, neither is the fact that you personally have little to no experience in tuning and rely/pay others to do that for you. Atleast in my small shop/business I do all the tuning myself and will do so on our 2011 GT.

Dont get all defensive on me now that Justin whooped your ass with no "extensive tuning" into the 10's in less then 24 hours after getting the car.

If you were truly tuning the car you would have released tunes/programmers for them already but you have not. IMHO I highly doubt that you, or someone else is actually tuning the car but are saying so in hopes to garner a share of the market once tuning support is actually available for this platform. If I'm wrong I'll be the first one to say so but your attitude and demeanor doesnt lend itself towards instilling(sp) faith in many people, something that is all too common with your company.

As I said, if I'm wrong about the custom tuning I will apologize but you need to understand you havent given anyone a reason to believe you.

Personally I'll put my money on Justin at JPC to show you the sad side of a timeslip alot this year. His crew is a hard working bunch of guys and Justin's drive and passion for what he does for a living is born from a desire to be the best he can be, not from how much money he makes or how many motorhomes he can purchase.

Sorry for the rant and back OT. Congrats again Justin on doing it the right way, it was great to talk to you today. :beerchug2:

congrats to

congrats to JPC and EVO, Fred i have a question, when you ran the car stock, in the video it sounded like the car hit the rev limiter in 4th on street tires, when you ran it on slick all motor what rpm did you cross the line at, and on the nitrous video you are still in 4th at the end did you use a taller tire to stay in 4th. i know JPC's car has 4'56's and 28" tire and needed 5th.i am curious just curious because i do plan to buy a 2011 and was going to order the 3'73's but if you can run a 26" tire 3'73 gears and a 100 shot and go through the traps in 4th i think it would need a 4'10 maybe a 4'30. would you mind giving those details. because if i can save the 395.00 from that option i will install my own gears for less. thanks in advance.. I think we are getting cought up in the whole who was first thing I understand buisness is buisness and its what supports your family and puts food on the table. But the outside trash talking isnt needed it just causes drama.

I have gotten to talk to the guys from evolution more then one time and they have always been more then willing to answer anything I asked. I got to talk with Nelson Jr and Sr at mustang week last year awesome guys down to earth they walked me around there cars showing me all kinds of things. when i was stuck building mine saying hey you might look at this or that try this. So congrats to you guys for getting to were you are with all yoru cars.

I have a few friends that know justin and them good and I have talked to Justin myself on the phone a few times he has always been more then happy to help me with any issue i have had with mine also. My buddy has talked with Justin more then one time getting his opinion on what we should do with my car. To me they are also a awesome group of guys that are willing to lend a helping hand when ever they can. I would love to get up to there shop and meet them all in person. So congrats to you guys for getting your car there.

To both shops keep up the hell of a job you guys are doing. you guys have the eyes of every mustang well car fan out there to see what can be done with these things and what you guys will do next. These 2 cars seem to be part of every car forum out there.

Congrats to both. Small list of mods on Justin's car, the 5.0 is just insane. Makes me want to do another swap. 10's with 100 shot and to most of us, a small list of mods and no tune is insane.

10.8's is damn strong too, tune or no tune.

Awesome.

Congrats to both JPC and EVO. And Tommy a spool on the street is not very user friendly it can be driven but isn't prefered by most for street duty. But as you said it is a wash tru trac or spool the car would still go tens. Way to go to both Justin and Fred.
