One was a moderator's friend and the other provided a official ford document telling the process. Now Jewc.

Still questionable. The one with the Ford documents was early on in the scheme of things before Ford really caught on, and got away with it. Numerous people who knew/associated with him popped up saying he most definitely was modified. I don't know anything about the other one.

Jewc is the only one I have confidence in that it truly is stock, and I think they will find a #8 problem. Regardless, 2 years now, and we know of only 1.5 examples of a failure Ford is responsible for...

If you want, I can email you the picture. I don't know how to host it on here, but i saved the picture when the guy posted it. Was a few months ago and the car was a 2012. Date on the work order was Dec of '11.

Ah, that's a lot more recent than the one I was thinking of. Either way, say there were 3 including this one. In 2 years we've seen 3 potential failures. That's not a big number at all, and I'd even call that quite a success for a brand new engine design. I dealt with a considerable higher number of '03 Cobra failures with they first came out, and they're still being touted as the best motor Ford ever put in a mustang...Just ask anyone on SVTP. :)

That's just on this forum though. I really don't know/care what happens on the others. This forum isn't nazi like all of the others, jewc would probably be banned on the "others" just for posting a thread like this under the guise of being a "troll". But, I remember the '03 cobra failures... but could I do have counter arguments for cobra vs. gt but that's another thread and another day. :highfive:

Tonight was an eventful night. Took the wife out for a romantic dinner, and of course we took the 5.0 Trying to put as many miles on it as we can. Well now im at 335/500. One more day and i should get it to 500. Sitting at a stop light, first gear accelerates ok, shift to 2nd we both hear a pop, car studders and then accelerates. I dont know what it was and i still havent gotten a cel. Oh well hopefully it will start in the morning.

Man, I truly hate to read stuff like this. Being overseas it's even worse for me. I shudder to think of what it would take to get mine fixed under similar circumstances.

Having said that, I'll be following your story closely bud. It's easy for me to speculate, but I've always found it's better to wait it out and let the facts speak for themselves.

I don't know many of you guys--and I respect the knowledge and expertise here--but in your case jewc if I could ease your mind (and your heart) I would certainly do that. All I can offer is to say, "hang in there man!" I'm confident it will all work out, in your favor, over time. Easy for me to say...I know this. As you stated, at least you have a great woman and good friends who support. That's better than a damned car anyway.

Godspeed!

If it's a broken ring land it doesn't make sense that the knock sensors haven't heard it after all your driving and threw a P301-P308.

Ringland problem, I don't know. A pcv system problem, very possible.

This is what I've been thinking since reading the first few pages of this thread this morning. Your oil sep is getting way too much oil in it. Hell, I run Amsoil myself and over the last 1500 miles I've not gotten a 1/4 of the oil in mine that you have in yours.

With the sputtering and all, I'm of the opinion that something int he PCV system is dumping enough oil into your intake tract to cause smoking, stuttering and backfiring issues. I've had these exact symptoms on other cars/trucks that had a PCV Valve stuck open. The higher the engine compression, the more pronounced the symptoms were.

I hope it's a quick, simple fix brother!!
