How much do you weigh? I wouldn't say it's stock since you've taken out weight and have a tune. As far as your race weight my guess is on 3500. Have you had it dyno'd? It'd take over 400 whp at 3650 to run 120. You did have a rediculously good da though but it's still a stretch.

It probably was making 400 whp in that air.

Also coyotes have mad power/torque under the curve so they run better with a lower peak number.

Yeah it may have been the air, but I'd still like to see his actual race weight.

Jesus, I can't break 12.2 in my car, lol. And that's modded! Great runs.

You need to come to Houston and give a driving class, lol.

Scales at the track were not working. Tried.... I had about 100lbs. off the car not including tires/wheels. Nothing substantial. Race weight with me in the car would be around 3,650-3,700 lbs. I had just under a half tank of gas. Car had 950 miles on the OD. No dyno. Not a stretch at all..... The car has an exceptional tune that was tits on for power and shifting. Gas used was Shell 93 unleaded.

Outside the tune, the car was completely stock for power adders. The cats were still on with the rest of the stock exhaust, no suspension work, stock drive shaft, etc.... Not a thing special about it.

It's an auto and they trap higher than the manual cars do. DA was good. We won't get that kind of air again until end of this year/next year.

Here is a pic of a couple of timeslips from that night:

WBT did you get everything installed.

Samsung Galaxy 2-better then your iPhone..

Converter, gear and headers are done. Waiting on some exhaust parts that were not included in the system that should have been. I plan to make some more passes on 3/10, Midnight Madness.

My NA automatic has trapped 126.5 in +300 DA and weighs 3650 ready to race. It put down 410RWHP on a dynojet. Do not ever use chassis dyno numbers to try to estimate what a car runs at the track, those numbers are not to be trusted whatsoever. A dyno is merely a tool that spits out a mostly useless number. It's not even a very valuable tool on 2011+ cars. Running closed loop like they do, a dyno just isn't needed to get the car running safely/properly.

Your sig says the boss engine? What, besides the rods, are different on those vs a regular 5.0? And if your weight is 3650 what do you have taken out to get to that weight? It just seems crazy that the autos trap higher. Heck my buddy's 6m only runs 12.55@113 with a ford tuner, lca's and full weight. It's just been the other way around for decades I guess that just what I'm used too.

My 2011 M6 didn't trap as high as my auto with quite a few more mods. The 6R80 in the A6 is a great transmission and one of the reasons I moved over.

Yes, Boss engine. Performance wise the differences would be the intake, heads, exhaust cams. Remember they only make 32HP more than a normal GT, it's really about high RPM durability. Back when you could purchase them for just over $6k brand new it was a bargain when comparing with the aftermarket alternatives.

Weight savings comes from race wheels/tires, race seat, no front swaybar/crossmember, some 11" front brakes, rear seat delete, exhaust. It's a base model, only option is automatic. It's not a stripped race car, everything is still there and working, for street use I just change the wheels/tires and put the stock front seats back in.

FWIW on the autos trapping, I had it doing better than 118 back in August of 2010 when it still had stock engine, stock converter, less weight savings, etc. That was in the Texas summer heat where DA was probably 2500-3000. If we ever ran at a downhill track with frequent mine shaft air conditions like Cecil County I'd expect these cars to run a good bit better.

I've spent the last 20 months working to improve the automatic trans calibration. I'm never 100% satisfied with it. Getting the engine to make the power it should is the easy part of tuning one of these.

I for one would love to have you come to cecil or MIR on a crisp fall day. It would be nice to have some good side by side 10's :)

I would be rather apprehensive about running your car on that narrow, potholed track. Seen too many cars in the guardrail there.
