Just get a fiberglass hood. My hood is doing it again after being fixed twice. I'm gonna start looking for a hood pretty soon.

FWIW, a local guy here with an 07 got Ford to pay for the labor/body work on a fiberglass hood he bought (had his repainted by the factory twice and the issue kept coming back).

Not exactly sure how he accomplished this, however it'd be worth a shot since the issue has not been resolved.

I still find it difficult to understand how anodized aluminum is "corroding" on these hoods. I work for Alcoa for Christ's sake and I have never seen something like this.

I don't think its actually corroding. Something that was used in the prep process contaminates the metal I believe and causes the paint to bubble. Aluminum is hard to work with. You can't use the same tools that you use on other metals as it will cross contaminate the aluminum. You have to have aluminum dedicated tools from what I read.
