Enkei PF 01s definitely do not fit, the barrel hits. Same goes for American Muscle AMR and SVE Drift wheels both make barrel contact.
19" Ford 302S wheels fit with room to spare and that is what I'm running. Issue is the supply of 19" slick is limited while 18" come in many makes and sizes.
As far as the D Force wheels the clearance issue isn't the center of the caliper but rather the "ears" at the top and bottom, and the interference isn't huge but it is a definite no go.

Interesting. I only ask because 15" 6 piston stoptechs fit into PF01s, but they definitely cut it close to the barrel. Did you try fitting the 9.5" or 10.5" wheel on the fronts? Hopefully d-force and forgestars can fit on there. Besides the BBS's, the only other 18x10+ that seems to fit is the team dynamics wheel.

We just got a bunch of take-off 2013 GT500 brake kits. I'll have them up in the classifieds for sale soon. I'll see if we can test fit all the wheels we have here at the moment to verify clearance while we're at it.

shameless plug... If anyone wants to purchase a full set of new take-off GT500 brakes we have them available and more on the way.

Finally have a 2014 GT500 coming to Vorshlag this Friday (and another the next Monday), to install the factory splitter. We'll test fit these wheels while it is here...

ready to pull the trigger on one of rehegan racings set.

couple questions.

1. brake lines are the same as 05-09 GT correct? Reason I ask is because I already have a set of goodridge stainless lines on the car. I remember hearing the brake lines were the same all through the s197 ranges.

2. how easy/hard is it to install the new rear calipers and brackets?

1. Yes.

2. Go to the 5.0 Resto website and watch the video. If you can do what's in the video, you can install the brakes. You have to pull the rear axles to install the mounting brackets. That's probably the most difficult part of the whole job, which isn't difficult at all.

Paul.

Front brake lines are not the same as 14" Brembo Calipers, there is a different bend where the banjo fitting meets the caliper. You maybe able to make it bolt up but check what happens when you turn the wheel lock to lock to make sure it doesn't stretch the hose. If someone has installed Goodridge lines that work I would like to see pics. I used Ford factory GT 500 hoses.

http://fulltiltboogieracing.com/ has a rear 13 inch brake kit that includes caliper relocation brackets and uses 2-pc rotors. The benefit is you don't have to remove axle cover and shafts to install this kit. The 2-pc rotors are 11.5 lbs each. here is the part number for the kit FT 9600

For $995 for two rotors I think I'll do the one-time-only axle rebuild to use the OEM parts.

Full Tilt Boogie also says they are not suitable for road racing. That kills it for me.

The rotating mass and unsprung weight of the four OEM rotors alone is almost 100 Lbs.!!!

We have spec'd directionally vaned-slotted, stress relieved rotor blanks that are clear zinc plated. The hard anodized aluminum floating hats attach to the floating rotors with 15 attaching bobbins.

The weight savings of these rotors combined with a set of lightweight wheels should easily drop 40# off of the heavy front end of a new Shelby. That's just a staggering number if you truly realize how important rotating mass and unsprung weight is to performance!

Not suitable for road racing. Street/Strip only.

I believe not suitable for racing is for the front 15 inch rotors.

Correct. Our rotor supplier unfortunately does not have a 15" casting blank with enough mass in it to make it suitable for road racing. So our 2 pc 15" front rotors for the 2013-2014 Shelby are for street strip use only. There is however suitable mass in them for standing mile applications as well.

ALL of our 13" conversion kits for the SN-95 IRS and all S-197 models ARE suitable for road racing and race track use. They are directionally vaned and cool well.

Just for everyone's information here, the 14" advertised rear brakes on the 2013-2014 Shelby actually measure 13.750" in diameter.

Converting to the new 13.750" Shelby rear brakes requires removing the diff cover and removing the axles. Our 13" S-197 rear brake conversion kit with floating rotors is a direct bolt on and requires no disassembly of the axle.
