If your on this Forum that means you have a problem and you can't leave cars alone.
This car at least aesthetically is a mf home run slam dunk!!! Just wow. HOT! Dat ass on the GT350! Fat! Nice.
Back looks great, the bumper cover is HORRIBLE! It looks like a handlebar mustache or a Lexus. And I'm horribly disappointed it didn't get different headlights like the GT500's did. I like the GT bumper cover a lot more.
Yep. Ford sez so;Nope, hence the question mark.. but almost looks like they screw from inside hat to disc... or it's just cast that way for weight reduction which is cool too.
From here: https://media.ford.com/content/ford.../shelby-gt350-mustang-the-legend-returns.htmlDue to the significant speeds the car can develop, GT350 features the most track-credible brake system ever offered on a Ford vehicle in terms of absolute stopping power, fade resistance and brake pedal feel. The brakes are two-piece cross-drilled iron discs mounted to aluminum hats. At the front are massive 394-millimeter rotors clamped by Brembo six-piston fixed calipers with integrated caliper bridges, while 380-millimeter rotors at the rear utilize four-piston calipers.
I think we all know that won't last very long at all. We are a bunch of addicts here that can't leave our cars alone.Maybe we should start a pot on who can hold out on GT350 mods the longest.

I dunno these vs mega-buck carbon-carbon brakes? I'm thinking for a dual-purpose street/track car these make more sense in the long run. The GT350 doesn't appear to be as much a focused track-only car like the Z28 is.
Carbon brakes are over rated. Buy a set of used zr1 rotors/brakes if you want, since a lot of them upgrade to steel rotors.
This is probably one of only a few cars I could leave alone performance wise. I want one.
Truth, they are better in every way pretty much aside from cost. And I'm assuming that was a big part of Ford's decision to not use them. I'm sure they want this car to be within a certain reach of most enthusiasts. When the M5/M6 became available with them we had to do online trainings for them to understand the differences compared to standard M brakes. It's funny though because the people that buy these cars get the brake package for looks mostly. Don't even know anything about what they just spent 10k on, for a brake upgrade. And they're not covered under maintenance. I do find it interesting that you measure AND weigh the rotors for wear purposes. Due to how the Carbon oxidizes. And you can't let anything hit them bc they could chip. Hence the wheel lift we are supposed to use when taking off and putting the wheel back on. You're also not supposed to get certain cleaners and stuff on them. But under normal driving conditions the rotors could last a very long time. Well past any maintenance period if they were covered.Carbon brakes don't fade and/or overheat like steel brakes do. Period. Fact. End of story. Plus they are a lot lighter.
ZR1 guys are not upgrading to steel rotors. They are going with steel because they don't want to cough the money up for carbon replacements. And I'll bet dollars to doughnuts these ZR1 guys are not hard core track day'ers.
Carbon brakes are outlawed in almost every racing class. It's so the low budget teams can compete with the high budget teams. If carbon were allowed the carbon braked teams would DESTROY the steel braked teams.
Ok I'm seriously considering buying one. When are we able to order one? My problem is that I can't leave anything alone. Also does anyone have a weight on this car? Did I miss what manual trans is in it? If I can order one without a mark up its a done deal.
This is from the BMW comparison/training guide in regards to thataren't steel rotors a easier for the street as the CC need to be warm to function at their best
Did you mean to put this in the Hellcat thread? This is the GT350 thread.
