Great video from CJ pony parts on the 2018-19 engine tick concerns on if it's really a problem.
Thought it interesting since I recently ran into a 2013 I thought had a tick, turned out it had a bad bottom end...

LOL, I was one of the first with that tick in the spring of 2010 (with my brand new 2011 Coyote). My threads on Mustang forums on this topic are long. Funny to hear him use my phrase . . . BBQ ignitor tick. I used that phrase back in 2010.

Ford put an additive in my engine that got rid of the tick . . . until the oil was changed. I ended up suing Ford. Got a sizable settlement and an engine without the tick.

P.S. As much as Coyote owners make fun of the 3v, my experience here is one of the reasons I bought a boosted 3v this time around (along with liking the 05-09 styling). Would take a boosted 3v over a bolt-on Coyote any day. And, I will build my 3v to handle more power before I'd boost a Coyote. I just have a bad taste in my mouth from this experience.
