Nice cars, resale value not so much !!
I agree with that. That is because Roush is not listed in Kelly Blue Book or NADA like Shelby's are. My understanding that was supposed to change this year. I have not looked recently to see if they are listed now?

The one benefit Roushs' have is when it comes to insurance, at least in my instance. State Farm insured my Roush as just a Mustang GT, no upcharge as a Shelby has with some companies. I checked insurance on several different cars before I got my Roush in 2010, I paid $350 every six months when I first got my Roush, a Shelby was $450 for a Shelby GT, not even the GT500, a Corvette and Porsche were both about $550.
I double checked with my agent after purchase to be sure and at that point he made a copy of my original Roush sticker and said I'd be covered for that amount, even though I paid about $10k less than sticker, that was cool by me.

I contacted Roush regarding the Powertrain Cooling package and received response from my regional rep the ROUSH powertrain cooling package consists of:

Larger LTRs
Transmission cooler
Differential cooler
Engine cooler
Decreases engine bay temperatures for more laps at the track.

I then asked the regional rep to be more specific on the items, what LTR was, and if Roush will sell this as a parts package? Also asked if Roush could guarantee the 2020 S3 would not go into limp mode on track?
He responded:
So LTR stands for low temp radiator. From what I understand the current stage 3 has been track tested by Jack Jr. without any heat soak issues.

I'm now curious what they mean by engine cooler?

Any idea what Powertrain Cooling package costs?
No but I'm assuming it's not cheap, it's included in the price of the car and not an option as of yet. I asked if they were going to sell it as a package and or if Roush would do the install but the rep did not answer that.

Always been a fan of the Roush stuff but factory ford stuff always seems like a better choice for similar money. I can see a little exclusivity, but I don’t see many GT500s either. I think these thrive on the can’t wait factor during model releases or sold out dealer lots.

The Roush is a good option for those who still want a manual transmission, but also want the similar power of the GT500. The price of the Roush is lower than the GT500 (especially an optioned out one) and only a bit more than the GT350, and with the supercharger has much more power than the GT350. If the cooling package on the Roush actually works as they claim, I'd choose that over the GT350 in a heartbeat.

Wonder if Roush does any "magic" with the Magneride, like they do on the PP2 on S550's.

Roush has now added the Powertrain Cooling Package as part of the Podium Package to the 2020 Stage 2 Mustang.

Here is the Stage 3 with the coolers.
