I wish there was a way that I could automatically ignore all threads that refer to #8.

And Lund bashing threads too, lol

Yea me too. It seems like fdjizm has the ultimate hard on for Jon Lund.

Not really I actually think he a great tuner and I have nothing against him when I say he is one of the best I am not being sarcastic.

What I do like to mess with is people with like two bolt on's that think they need a $200 tune to leave the garage with "peace of mind"
When they are equally capable tuners around for much less.

That piece of mind is worth every penny to me. You are the one who keeps reffering to him as the tuning God and making the smartass comments. Keep believing what you want about those $50.00 tunes for the 5.0 and I'll keep running my Lund tune.

Where is lund
Not on the forums, for reasons such as threads like this.
People keep blaming the tunes or blaming ford. In reality it seems to be fault of both in a way. A flaw in design exaggerated by on the edge tuning = #8 takes a vacation.
I'm still with the idea that modifying the cooling system will help alleviate these issues.

Ford's design seems to hold up fine the way it's delivered.

Thus why I said, a flaw that is EXAGGERATED by an aggressive tune. So far it seems these things are fine in stock form. But start pumping some heat from a leaner mixture and throwing more timing at them and poof.
These still haven't been around long enough to know if in a few years once these motors have fatigued a bit that they will give up the ghost even in stock form.

Unfortunately, most people don't get this. Most, if not all, manufacturers choose to design their vehicles in a way that supports their bottom line rather then cater to a sub-set of the market who chooses to modify their cars. In a perfect world, all engines would be built with 6 bolt mains, steel cranks, forged pistons and rods etc etc.
