3v exhaust question

I'm still on the fence about whether to keep my Magnaflow streets or upgrade to either Roush Extreme's, Borla S-type or SLP powerflo's.. I'm looking for something that's deeper, throatier but not obnoxiously loud and most definitely no drone..

Don't get the S-types then...all kinds of drone. I think I will try the stock mufflers mainly for cost invested. Was just looking at the rules of the local track and the dB level is higher than I thought...105dB. I think I should be under that considering the car has 4 mufflers.

The idea of the Pype bombs was that the straight pipe (with resonated tips) would be less overall volume at WOT because of how the FR500S mufflers work. I'm probably wrong though, unless someone has gone between the two? Any experiences if so?

I am not very tech savvy, but I have a GoPro collecting dust so I'll see about getting some sound clips of the stock mufflers with the Kook's LT/Cates X combo.

Get a run up through the gears from a roll and some downshifting if you can. Without wheelspin or tire chirps, as those sounds only get in the way of evaluating the exhaust sound.

Are the S-types also known for droning with the factory cats still in place or only with an off road x or h pipe ? I intend on keeping the factory mid pipe w/cats in place.. So my choices are between Roush extreme resonators, SLP powerflo's or the S-type and possibly the Borla ATAK's.. I'm interested in which ever one will provide the least amount of drone with the factory mid pipe still in place..

Sound clips? Tried that back with dual exhaust when it was a 6 cylinder and hated it. I know...way different scenario now but still. I have considered GTBs.

S-Types would drone with a factory exhaust and V6 as well. It wasn't as noticeable as the v8 with LT/catless/cams but it was still there. I think it's definitely tolerable, but you will slightly notice it. Roush Extremes sound great with everything else stock, as do FR500S.

Actually it's the Roush extreme resonators that were my first choice over the S-types anyhow.. I've also been considering SLP powerflo's which are also manufactured by Roush performance and Borla ATAK's.. But it appears more than likely I'll be choosing the Roush Extremes..
