How are you doing on head gaskets? With big boost, Mihovitz was seeing an issue with lifting the heads and came up with this bitchin' O-ring type set-up for the gaskets.

Have you determined how/why the head was cracking?

Truth be told, the valve train is what matters most in the 'stupid power' applications. Your off-the-shelf springs, their rates, retainers, valves, etc just don't cut it and what you have to address. Cams, porting, etc. in the 3V's really isn't that big of a deal when you get into the 'stupid' levels - especially when you are 'pushing' the power and not 'sucking' it.

The 3V's are damn near impossible to make stupid power on right now. ('stupid' = triple digits) Not impossible (obviously) but damn near...lol

I garuntee you everyone (including me) is keeping tight lipped about what's 'really' involved cause it is extensive to say the least. The Killer is going to own the West Coast next weekend, but I'll say it was a bonafide NIGHTMARE to make this kind of build work on a 3V...:thud:

I'm very curious to hear how or why Vinny was cracking the head...:hi:

Okay John, you got me interested...lol

Tell me a little more about these 'x' heads...:beerdrink:

These are our new prototype 3V race head. These have twice the air velocity of our stage 3 ported heads. That is all the information I have on them as of right now. We have more info, I just don't have access to it currently.
