These are our new prototype 3V race head. These have twice the air velocity of our stage 3 ported heads. That is all the information I have on them as of right now. We have more info, I just don't have access to it currently.

Nice - when you get access to the info (you can PM me if you like) - can you let me know what upgrades are done to the train, specifically, what spring/rate you are using, what valves, and any extra 'work' done to the valves and seats?

I am very impressed with my Livernois 3R heads, but I am not going to sugar coat the fact getting in touch with them and getting work when it's supposed to be done DONE annoys the shit out of me. They are a top notch company and their service is outstanding, but at my level now, I need to be able to get shit replaced and done quickly and there Livernois is lacking. I have been waiting 2 months to get my BENT Comp Stage 4 Turbo cams back . I'm running the stockers right now and really want the cam designed for my car in my car...lol I understand it may take comp a minuet to fab a new set for me but 2 months is getting annoying...:handjob:

Once the information is available... It'll be openly available. So, I'll post up the facts and test results once they are ready.

How are you doing on head gaskets? With big boost, Mihovitz was seeing an issue with lifting the heads and came up with this bitchin' O-ring type set-up for the gaskets.

Have you determined how/why the head was cracking?

i have not had any trouble with gaskets. the crack is in an exhaust port. we determined last year it cracked from being ported to thin. tony said he could fix it and it would be ok. but it has shown its head again.

Subscribing . This is the next thing to happen to my car in the next year , so I am very interested to see what the big power cars do . I look forward to see the set you go with and how they perform. Keep us posted.

Gotcha. Doesn't seem to be a 'fix' for being too thin.

Let me apologize for the delay in getting back to you. While I strive to try and get back to all phone calls and emails with in a 24 hour period sometimes the volume and time spent working with customers can be overwhelming. I tend to just go on a first come first serve basis and don't want to short change anybody, so if somebody needs help than I'm going to try to help them until whatever questions, problems, etc. get solved. Rick and the other guys do a great job helping me but the nitty gritty tech stuff is just me so I do what I can.

Anyways though just wanted to explain the delay. You are just as important as every other customer we have. That was why I kept calling after leaving voicemails. lol

I'm still very interested in seeing more info on this cracking issue with the exhaust port. It is something I have not seen before in any of our heads and I'm curious as to where the crack is and what conditions, boost, RPM, etc. are causing it. Even if you don't want to use our heads in the future I would still like to figure out what is going on with the heads you have. My assumption is something in your configuration and or application is pushing the heads beyond what that specific area of the port is capable of holding up to over the long term. Not your fault but definitely something I would like to look at in more depth.

My last voicemail I left in regards to just letting me know when I can call still applies. I am in here on Saturday morning trying to play catch up usually on phone calls, emails and tech help. I don't want to call anybody to early though on their Saturday so just let me know when via PM or email or whatever works for you and we can chat on the phone.

Thanks

mike,
i will say to you what i said to rick. i understand busy. but in this economy nobody is that busy. you did not call me until i sent rick my second email that said forget it. so now i am to busy for you and i will not answer your calls. i am now talking to several other companies and i will use the ones i think work best and who will step up to the plate. i know why the heads cracked. its not livernois fault and thats all i will say. you dropped the ball and thats fine. but i will deal with some else who cares about there heads being on my car. you only cared after i told rick forget it.

i am in business also. and a wise man once told me. [my dad] you make one customer happy you will get ten more jobs, you piss one off you lose a hundred.

so somebodys heads will be on my car but it won't be yours................

Shouldn't be just right now... That should be all the time.

I will say, it's very difficult to please everyone. We've been staying very busy in the shop. Numerous jobs come and go daily. There have been times that we are swampped and we tell customers that we won't be able to bring them in for a few days and they do get pissed. But there is nothing we can do except keep on keepin and produce some bad ass street & race cars.

Knock on wood, we've keep a very good track record on satisfied customers. Both shop side and sales side. If we do have a blond moment, we bend over backwards to rectify the problem. Customer Service is our #1 goal. A happy customer is just that. A HAPPY CUSTOMER and that's what it's all about.

I would have to disagree with that statement. The economy sucks, yes, but the good performance shops seem to be doing very well.

I meant auto retail sales...Ive never been one to just bend over to every customers requests/bitches/moanes when they are in the wrong, that usually costs $$..It has been different the last year though, had to change things up some, and swallow some pride..
